Damnit - I spoke too soon. Another one just went up on this week's. *sigh*
With Nintendo's stance on online? I have a feeling you're going to be waiting quite a while, sir ;P
It seems like it already was. CFD! was one of the few sites to do a preview at PAX, apparently. Strange considering just how many people were always lined up to play it.
I still haven't sampled Metroid Metal yet - I probably should...
Surprising given the proximity to Halloween. There's currently one in the next week's Dome so far. I'm shocked at that too. Plenty of freakin' Avatar games though :/
How else are they going to sell them to you yet again? ;) They're finally learning from Nintendo, it seems.
I honestly miss a lot of those cheesy fighters from the 16-32bit era. Eternal Champions stands out as one that didn't get the love it deserved. And soooo many terribad fighting games on PS1... ahhh memories. :)
This reminds me of them. I might consider picking it up once it hits the clearance bin.
I agree that that was a huge missed opportunity. From what I heard though, the dev team almost had to fight just to get the game made as it was. I guess Ubi was kind of hanging the project out for the crows for a while.
Worm Food was the only one of these I've played so far, but it was a blast. ImmorTall looks interesting. I need to make an afternoon of sitting down with all of these and going through them.
Still have the Special Edition of the first one on Steam... Still haven't played more than about 10 minutes into it.
Most of this week hasn't been good. Be thankful you're on vacation from the Dome for a while ;P
I never tried Dofus either, but Aubrey came away from this one so enthusiastic that I might give it a look-see. I'm curious to see what's up with that Islands of Wakfu XBLA game too. Didn't get a chance to look at that at PAX :/
My personal picks? Even though I don't know how well they'd hold up, I want to see Bushido Blade 1 & 2 brought over.
For that matter, they need a remake too, imho...
It's definitely food for thought - the scene now has changed irrevocably with the digital age.
Makes me think of the old SWAT series done as a puzzle game.
I too played the flash version. Nice to know somebody else enjoyed it. :)
I'm kind of a sucker for card games anyway. The review sold me on it.
...now does anyone have any spare MS points? Anyone?
It sounded like a neat concept - I never really got into trying roguelikes, but the idea of a sound/text based one was kinda cool.
Hey but at least one of them had some production values behind it ;P
I feel like I'm missing some crucial part of my brain - chiptunes are nice and nostalgic, but I feel like I don't enjoy them as much as I should.
Am I broken?
