I love your reference to Tenchu and the grapple hook. A true classic Playstation gem from yester-years. The zipline in Shadow Fall along with the tactical intelligence of it's gameplay approach screams tons of replayability. Piecing together what we we've seen so far with the first reveal and now this forest setting and looks like fans could be in for a great narrative with twists and varied gameplay for the campaign. So far it's seems GG is doing everything right, yet I would lik...
You took the words right out of my mouth - He seemed to be going through the motions with Herman not truly digging for those all important nuggets that make Killzone what it is. When Herman mentioned the new sniper type which could teleport this guy should have been all over the idea of the new attributes possibly contributed to multiplayer. Of course Herman would have avoided that question but it is still important to take this risk. He never commented on the games ridiculous visuals or ask...
Well said!
Concerning this article which is well thought out but obviously a bit uninformed, Sony has clearly explained the PS4 inability to offer backward compatibility which is due to the systems x86 architecture which renders it impossible to offer cell based developed games of the PS3 to run on the PS4. This also applies to the notion of digital BW compatibility, there is no difference. The remedy: Gaikai. Looking at the forecast of titles set to be available at launch for the PS4 and through Qtr 1 ...
Once digital ecosystems of both Sony and Microsoft gain uber-momentum allowing them the option to offer Day 1 purchases well below the standard retail price of games without the concern of Gamestop somehow undercutting their profit margin at retail by refusing to stock their hardware and exclusive software, then gamers will begin to see those insane Steam like deals for new titles. Of course I'm not saying PS+ doesn't currently offer insane discounts and savings but the fact still rem...
Calling Killzone Shadow Fall a generic shooter is complete blasphemy and ignorance at this point. Having played extensively what was available from our SCEE demonstration from Guerrilla Games and it is clear this is far from a generic shooter. The series speaks for itself. In fact from what we played and sat down to watch being played, KZ Shadow Fall was easily among the best at E3. While KZ3 was a great shooter with a few shortcomings in its multiplayer offering, Shadow Fall is a different b...
Great read! Vanquish is an incredible over the top 3rd person shooter I still find myself jumping into now and again. The thrills are pretty sick!
I really try not to ever belittle an article if there is some form of effort put in place that has some potential but this list is really bad and a clear attempt to drive traffic instead of genuinely looking at what features could be added for a stimulating read which would justify the drive of traffic. While some items on this list could insight the uninformed reader, the educated gamer can see straight through this rubbish. Please do your homework and try harder and you might be taken more ...
When Sony is giving users this much value with Plus+, offering free multiplayer just isn't smart or fair for Sony.
Great article, making it completely understandable why Sony would now charge for online multiplayer on the PS4. With an insane amount of value attached to Plus+, no one should complain with this kind of gaming advantage.
Try 6-8 months - TITANFALL will be coming to the PS4 and PS3 in 2014. EA has agreed to a limited exclusive deal with Microsoft positioning TITANFALL as a timed exclusive in an effort to push early adopters to invest in the Xbox One as well as increase Xbox 360 marketshare. In addition, don't be surprised to see Vita owners wall runnning and pulling pilots from Titans via PS4 Remote play. The obvious question is how do I know this, well let's just say Mr. Zampella is making it very obv...
Yep!
Conan is the man - The best E3 video.
I believe it is more than obvious the reviewer went into the game purposely looking to criticize whatever he deemed worthy of a complaint. When was the last time a review referred to so many other titles. Calling this a review is bit of an over statement as it seems like a great effort to simply tear the game down. Having played the game extensively, reading over this so-called review actually makes the reviewer look quite inadequate as a game critic. There is absolutely nothing wrong with no...
Have you played and for how long?
You're going to really enjoy Plant vs Zombies Garden Warfare. The demo we saw at E3 was surprisingly impressive with an attractive cooperative gameplay. Hints of Battlefield and Call of Duty influence were so hilarious. I loved it!
1.3 million on one platform in a weekend is insane and well deserved as the game is a triumph.
The E3 demo was a ton of fun playing much like a hybrid of the original Devil May Cry with the enemy scale of God of War. This one looks extremely promising.
Not to spitefully disagree with the authors opinion as I hold the angle of this write up with respect, I must strongly disagree. I happen to write for Game Insider magazine and after spending hours in private demo meetings playing Xbox One and PS4 titles, calling the PS4 lineup average at best is simply not honest reporting. Walking away from Killzone Shadow Fall, Second Son, DriveClub, WarFrame, Blacklight Tango Down, Destiny and Knack all running on the PS4 hardware and if you thought that ...
@ Sync90
We spoke with GG @ E3 about the length of the campaign and we were told users can expect a full 10-12 hour campaign depending on the games difficulty setting. In fact the forest setting which is all over the net from E3 is running on the easy difficulty setting. We actually thought the enemy AI was decent from our demo but were encouraged that when playing on the more difficult setting...like normal, lol, or harder, the Helghast strategically attempt to hunt you down...
