It is great when you can report an unbias perspective from an industry insider.

You make a great point. My assumption on the price drop is 'The sooner the better'.

As a Playstation supporter I would love to believe that 17 million users are gamers. But unfortunately this isn't the case.

You make a great point.

Cliffbo, are you stating that the PS3 is lacking in the software department? If my question is misplaced excuse me.

Well I doubt that, however the price point is keeping gamers at bay from making the plunge. A significant PS3 price drop would change the game. Today it is not matter of enough software or online capabilities as factors holding the system back. The PS3 has all the bells and whistles, the price point is the factor.

I hope not!

This is great article! Very nice read.

I agree with what you're saying however game sales actually should matter to gamers. Today games are more expensive than ever to develope and manufacture. Many solid game franchises are being scrubbed due to underwhelming sales. As gamers whether you favor a PS3 or 360 or both you want your favorite games to sell. As we know great sales means more great games in the future. Yeah it does get out of hand sometimes with gamers hating on other platform exclusives that don't sale as well as expect...

AclyPS3 you make a good point about VGChartz and their reported sales figure for MGS4. They were definitely off the mark after the actual numbers were reported by Konami.

I must add that 1.04 million in 2 weeks is far from a catastrophy. I personally thought it would sell more copies in the 2 week timeframe. However, KILLZONE 2 with it's current sales and word of mouth about it's incredible gameplay and visual presentation will go on to sell very well for Sony and Guerrilla.

Sounds more like a World Exclusive with new info. Sorry but this doesn't appear to be accurate. If you can show where the article states; "Yes, Bioshock will be a PS3 exclusive title" you will have something quite explosive.

JKHAN I like your ideas, especially the coop & separate campaign. The hdd install is needed as well and 60fps should also be realized throughout.

Absolutely! I know it's rather early to start talking about KZ3 but after KZ2 it's tough not to. We assume that we could possibly be seeing the next KILLZONE as early as holiday 2010 since the game engine intact. I agree that more can be now be optimized with their engine now complete.

Wow! A very impressive fansite indeed. Great work on the site, I'll definitely have to invest some time to it.

Considering all the possibilities, I am eager to see what comes of this integration. I think this could further separate the playstation brand from competition if implemented correctly. A major mistake would be to force gamers to pay to high of a price tag for their next playstation launch system while the competition offers a more affordable option. I personally believe blu-ray was a need and not a gimmick, however I hope unnecessary integrations don't burn us as gamers in the future.

360dergees, you're welcome. Even though I found KILLZONE 2 to be an incredible action-packed experience, not everyone will have the same opinion or experience depending on the preference.

I found your list of games interesting;

Crysis- Graphics
COD4- Controls
Halo(1,2,3)-Controls, game pace, all around fun factor
Resistance 1 & 2- perfect MP (speedy) game pace
F.E.A.R. 1 & 2 - Brilliant Enemy AI

Here's my take on your list...

360degrees, I definitely respect your opinion so please don't consider my questioning of your KILLZONE 2 impression as a fanboy rant. We are all more than entitled to voice our opinion and I am glad you did.

However, my question; You stated, "As there are currently several far superior FPS games out there that surpass it in many ways." If you don't mind could you list at least maybe 3 to maybe 4 games that you consider far superior and briefly explain how? I am very cu...

Hiruma Youchi to answer your question I thoroughly enjoyed Resident Evil 4 in 2005, no doubt. However, during the 4 years gap of RE4 and RE5 a plethora of gaming control mechanics with new innovative styles have been experienced. Today gamers are slightly unhappy with the feel of RE5 which is the same ole' stiff control scheme offered up in the RE series. After playing a game like Left 4 Dead and then throwing in the RE5 demo the feeling is like night and day. RE5 feels somewhat lethargic in ...
