Lol! Very true and well said.
Quite the contrary.
It is obvious Sony is looking to push the free to model heavily on the PS4, as the article points outs. The launch of War Thunder, Planetside 2, Warframe, DCUO, Don't Starve and Blacklight Retribution all appearing as launch PS4 titles says this is a direction Sony believes they can establish.
We already know Warframe is a cross-platform online experience allowing PS4 and PC users to play together online at launch and b/c Sony doesn...
Cory Barlog directing Nariko's return coming to PS4 would be INSANE!
Free after pay is no doubt an oxymoron and does defeat the purpose of calling a game free to play with the exception of Xbox Live Gold.
I actually do - You're correct in stating that 30fps is a technical limitation however, it isn't a bad limitation. It is a tradeoff.
While a faster response time is accompanied with a higher framerate oftentimes it is at he expense of adding multi-layered shadows, wind and particle effects, and levels that changed in real time.
Check out what 343 Industries had to say about being locked 30fps.

Yes it does!
"It doesn't make the game better, but it does make the overall experience better."
Not necessarily - Sure smoother motion and quicker responses are direct result of a faster frame rate but is that always the best results? I have to say no. Oh and yes a faster rate because of the added CPU stress does subtract from other gameplay influences which are depending on the resources at the devs disposal.
However, as I mentioned before this may more th...
Then you may have never played COD. Ultimately, I believe what the author is getting at is the balancing act of framerate and overall performance.
Since you've been gaming for 15 years I would assume with your experience you understand that a higher framerate doesn't make for a better game, and that is the point being made.
In COD's defense, running at 60fps is perfect for what the game does however, as we can clearly understand, the game offers a...
Lol! Not really, but it would suck if the Dad didn't give his kids a few rounds on the PS4 and even still, when Dad isn't playing the PS4, little Johnny can still play all of Dad's PS4 games right on his Vita, they both win.
Well said!
Even though I currently own and thoroughly enjoy my PS Vita, I would still totally grab the PS4/Vita bundle, meaning I would indeed change my current PS4 bundle purchase for this bundle option in a heartbeat. The way I see it, this deals has serious holiday saving implications attached to it. This bundle actually meets the needs of the whole family. A PS4 for obvious reasons in addition giving the husband and wife full entertainment options and the kiddies get a Vita. Of course if the husband...
Not at all. We're talking about Naughty Dog. If any developer doesn't need a new engine, ND is at the top of that list. ND is incredible at telling a story in an interactive world making the lives of the characters matter. Sure, their Uncharted series and their latest in TLOU was incredibly pleasing to the eye but unlike Crytek (sorry for name dropping) who sure can make a pretty game, ND can make a beautiful game emotionally come to life, a huge difference.

Oh ok! Thanks for clearing that up for me. It just seemed so shallow and bland but if this is alpha code that makes sense.
Lol, wow!
For the holidays I would say Watch Dogs or Assassin's Creed 4 for the Xbox One with either Forza 5 or RYSE as the exclusive showpiece for the system. But if I could only get one for the Xbox One.......I would go with Watch Dogs
Now that was very impressive...this game really can't release soon enough.
The deris and particle filled air looks great however, aside from that, the walls and surfaces seem bland without any character or texturing, almost cardboard-like. Also, almost everything in this footage is basically the same beige color. There's a real bad color distinction with it's, maybe it just this particular map. I'm sure BF4 MP will be amazing but I wouldn't use this exact footage to showcase the games visual MP muscle at all.
Wow...looking at this footage alongside current BF3 MP and it really does look like updated BF3 content. Not saying that's a bad at all but it is interesting.
Re-introducing the Xbox One could work very well in Microsoft's favor if there was an intelligent strategy in place which allowed for them to contrast the significant advantages of the Xbox One against the PS4.
On this note, I am surprised Microsoft has not taken more advantage of offering developer video shorts discussing the hardware edge as well as videos which reveal exactly how the Xbox One user experience and gaming features offers more value over the PS4. This is...
Much agreed! Those are some great titles.
