I think you just acknowledged your own criticism. The Metal Gear Acid games were not big projects. Metal Gear Solid Rising is. It's a next gen game and it's multiplatform to boot. It's a huge project. The gameplay may or may not be polished, but Kojima isn't going to let them screw with the story on a game this big.

I would have picked a different plot twist (and game) to represent the MGS universe. The original had a ton of classic twists. Decoy Octopus? Temperature Key Cards? Master Miller??
Though the Colonel AI in MGS2 was a heck of a twist.
MGS4 had a lot of great ones too, but it's far too recent for me to try to reference any of them. I don't want to ruin anything.

Uncharted is another game that connects emotionally. If you don't believe that, you obviously didn't see the backlash when it was rumored that Elena and Sully weren't going to return in Uncharted 2. Granted, there's no tear-jerking moments, but you do actually care about the characters.

Why don't they show all three factions? At first glance, that's what I thought they did. Keep the guy in the middle and replace the two at his flanks with the other two factions. That would look awesome.

There's background images in the American version, such as an idol of some sort (totem poll) and a page with writing (journal?). The American version also shows more of the falling train car. The American version has a bluer tint which gives it a more dramatic feel, in my opinion. Finally, there's a snowy border on the bottom of the American version.
If this really is the European boxart, then it didn't take very much effort at all. My guess is that this is a fake Photoshop job. ...

Hmmm... I played a Tiger Woods demo a month or two ago and it had rain and a sunset. So obviously they've improved it. Not really relevant, just saying.
I think accurate damage can be done on the PS3, I'm not sure why it couldn't. It just takes a little trickery, like pretty much any other effect in videogames. However, it does take time to do. So are you willing to wait for accurate damage?
You can replace the battery, you know. But if you like that big block on the back of the 360 controller, more power to you.
Really? 'Cause my friend who only has a 360 always asks me if any new games are out. While I always have a constant stream of games, he's always looking for SOMETHING to play.

Well, first of all, people are going to buy the PSPGo. Second of all, it can play the existing games, just not on UMD.
You are not every gamer. The smaller screen does not bother me in the slightest. The iPhone screen is the same size, and I have no trouble with it at all.
If you don't want a PSPGO, don't buy one. That's what the 3000 is for. Jeez, I've never seen so many people complain about options before.

Anyway, I would replace the IW engine with the Killzone 2 engine. I've never really been impressed with the IW engine, I just like the gameplay.
^ That is interesting, I'm not really surprised by Microsoft. But Nintendo is very surprising since they only deal in the videogame market. However, both the Wii and the DS are very successful right now, so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it.
