@solidsnakus: That's kind of irrelevant, but I'll give you my opinion anyway. To me, 256 players sounds epic, there's a much larger battle going on and you're contributing to this much bigger battle. But it could easily turn into a "clusterfuk", as you say it. But I don't know how you can write it off at this point, because you haven't even played it.

You know, I actually wouldn't be surprised if we got reviews saying: "It's an awesome game, but it would be more fun on Live".

Just watch.

Because it's more fun.

Isn't that why we play games in the first place?

Hit response system, First person cover, Multiplayer games that change on the move, and classes that you can mix and match. Ya this didn't do anything new. It's like people expected a cooking mini-game or something...

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it, but the Hit response system alone makes it a blast for me to play. As does the AI, and trench-warfare style to the game (which I haven't seen done in any other FPS's either).

Definitely looking forward to Killzone 3.

"the frame rate never enables fluid combat."

It was about this time in the article that I realized they based this entire review on videos they watched on their laptop running Windows 95.

Of all the criticisms you can level at Killzone 2, the frame rate isn't one of them.

Show some respect, Al Gore invented the internet.

Do you have any idea about the kind of repercussions that could come from flat out lying like that? The stockholders would be furious.

PR may spin things, but they never flat out lie. If it wasn't true, Rockstar would have denied it.

Just because you don't know about every little thing that happens behind closed doors, it doesn't mean there isn't anything happening. Apparently Sony had a deal with R* for GTA IV exclusivity, they let R* back out of the deal for a new ...

I'm highly skeptical of that. The fastest thing Cole can do is surf power lines, making a huge city would not be a wise gaming decision. Heck, I felt like GTA IV was too big. Driving from one side of Liberty city to the opposite side was a pain in the @$$. Now imagine it with a hero who mostly runs around and can't drive a car. It's not a good idea to make a massive city IMO

There's two pages, scroll down and click on the 1. There's also x-rays of an N64, SNES, NES and several other things.

Here's the links for the lazy:

Anyone else notice how much more complex the PS3 looks in comparison to the 360?

Is that just a contrast between American and Japanese manufacturers, or does it have to do with the SPUs?

So.. The codec conversation in the middle is going to go something like this?

Colonel: Okay Raiden, time for you to change discs.
Raiden: Haha Snake warned me you'd say something like that! Well I'm not falling for it.
Colonel: Umm..well actually... you do. This is a DVD. Sorry.
Raiden: Dammit.

Not that I'm saying it's not true, it very well could be. But Kojima would kinda look like an ass after the stunt he pulled in MGS4. That and you have as muc...

Uh.. I have a gamerscore and I don't pay for it...

I do prefer trophies though, I don't feel connected at all to my Gamerscore. But that's because I play more games on PS3, simple as that. Not that I really care about bragging rights, I just like trying to do difficult things in games and getting something for it.

That 3 headshots in a row with one clip with a revolver trophy (wish I remembered the real name) in Killzone 2 was something I would have never thought abo...

@ pwnsauce, I know you probably won't read this because it's a little late, but you missed my point.

If they're getting rid of the UMD drive, and putting all the old games and new games on the PSN, then they COULD have improved the graphics and added a second analog and made the PSP2 backwards compatible with those downloads. The PSP has already been through a 5 year cycle, a PSP2 is not a ridiculous sentiment. And they could still support the old PSPs as well. It's a win-win. <...

"Zipper Interactive, same people who made Confrontation, has now "moved on to a new title (MAG) without fixing their previous games" and in this case that game would be Confrontation. Shouldn't you be all against them and ranting about Zipper too?"

Ahem. Slant Six made Confrontation.

That is all.

Isn't everything you do in the game bad anyway? I can't think of one decent thing I've ever done in GTA.

If you're having trouble viewing the images, turn off the translator. It isn't needed.

There are some impressive images in there, but there are a few "meh" ones as well. I can't wait to see it in motion.

It looks a lot like Sev's concept, so this could actually be legit.

But if they're going to be getting rid of the UMD drive, why not make it a PSP2 instead? You could still release all those games for download and just have backwards compatibility.

I believe Sev's info said they weren't getting rid of the drive, and I'm inclined to believe that over this.

But if this is supposed to be a E3 surprise, all these insiders are kind of ruining Sony's conferenc...

I got there around 11 and it was pretty picked clean, especially the 360 section. I did not expect so many people to know about it.

I still came away with:

PS3:
Lost Planet
Blitz 2

Xbox 360:

Unreal Tournament III (After playing this for a bit, I'm wondering why I never tried it for PS3. It's a blast.)

I wish I had gotten Soul Calibur though. I should have bought online at midnight, that would have been the smart thin...

Or...

5) We just don't like the game.

I played the demo and didn't really enjoy it. I like the Halo universe overall, and I've played a few RTS on PCs (Not many) but I'm not hardcore about what platform I play them on. I just got bored during the demo...Sorry. RTS's are also a niche genre and it seems kind of peculiar for it to be #1. The obvious explanation is the Halo brand. But there's nothing wrong with that. Many of them might like it and discover they are RTS f...
