While your premise is true, the two situations are very different. MS screamed price drop from a mountain. Sony's limited sale relies entirely on word of mouth. You have to add to cart to even see the discounted price. Also, there's a difference between a specific retailer having a sale, and the manufacturer cutting the price.
But yes, sonystyle.com does want more sales (most likely to clear out their old stock), so I can't really fault you there. "Desperate" seems a li...
It's true. I bought Uncharted with no problems at all (just a little slowness). But MGS4 refuses to work. Even the "Backorder" button through the search doesn't work.
Curse you internet. I hope there's still some way to get in on this deal. Anyone know if it's "while supplies last"? There's not really any official information about the sale.
No, what time?
Sounds intense, but what's the reasoning? Is he going to try to save his family from the Underworld?
If there's a good reason for it, then I think it's an excellent ending. It's a cliffhanger (almost literally haha) and it just gets you pumped for the next one.
Though Hades was nice and gave you the souls to fling around at your enemies. It seems like kind of a slap in the face to take him out after that Haha.
As long as I know it's going to be different...
Oh I know, that wasn't supposed to be as negative as it sounded Haha. I wasn't slamming you or anything. Most people just use the term "in-game" fairly loosely. My main point was that the only place you'll probably notice it is in the aliasing and probably motion blur too.
Anyway, it's going to look great. I'll be interested to see if another part of the visuals will take a hit because of the inclusion of damage. It seems unlikely that they'll be able to surpass Proloug...
It's actually the last item downloaded or played, depending on which is more recent. The PS3 organizes them by most recent activity (downloading it counts as an activity). I can't recall, but I think there's a "Sort By" option and you can change it if you wish.
@Claudinho69
To create a folder, press Triangle, go to Information, and then move the cursor down to Album. It should be blank, click it to edit the name. Your PS3 will organize any other games/demo'...
Both Elena and Sully were confirmed at E3. Take a look at the E3 trailer, they're both sitting with Drake at a table in some house.
Really? Are you sure? I watched it on my 46" and didn't spot any jaggies at all. I didn't really look for them though, especially in the gameplay, but I saw none in the cinematic. The only thing I noticed was Elena's 2D hair strand that hung down from her face, and that thing animated beautifully so it was easily forgiven.
Did anyone notice the cloud of powder from the snow as Nate hoisted himself up? I rewound it just to watch the beauty again :).
This game is ...
I thought we already knew this? Hmm maybe it was on the PSBlog interview or something.
Too much variety.
/sarcasm.
PS. If you're going to make the distinction between in game and in engine, then no, none of it was in game. But most, if not all of it, was in engine. Which basically means same car models (and environments) with 16xAA applied to it.
I'm getting to the point where it's a real dilemma whether to watch these things. This would be the fourth full level I've seen from this game (if I watched it that is). And the game is still a few months away. When do you say enough is enough?
I want to know as much as I can about this game, but at the same time I want to save some of it for when I actually play the game. I want it to be fresh. But it's so tempting...
Literally? Dang, your PS3 is aggressive...
^^ True, but I tapped that freakin button like my life depended on it. Every time Snake stumbled I tapped it faster. Before I got to the end, I swear I was standing up and my hand was exhausted. I think that counts as an Oh S*** moment. Same as the torture scene from the first one.
***MGS2 SPOILERS (kind of)****
The one I thought of was from MGS2 when Vamp takes a bullet to the skull and gets back up. I thought I was done with that freak.
Hey guys, if someone has an opinion that differs from yours, it doesn't give you the right to insult them. Sorry, it just gets really tiring reading similar comments in every piece of news on this site. And when a small, niche game about something as innocent as photography turns into something to insult each other over, you know there's a problem. Not all games, movies, books, etc. (read: media) are for everyone.
To each his own.
/rant.
I'm not sure why you guys are upset that it's not next gen. Personally I would would have been ticked if it was. We have FF13 coming, and FF14 coming too, apparently. Versus is supposedly in the pipeline, but if they announced another next gen game, I would have seriously doubted that it was coming. And Versus is the game I'm most excited for.
3 upcoming next gen games is enough, even if they are all different.
Well look at Nintendo, they got blasted two generations in a row, then they release the Wii and Pow, they're popular again.
Any console that crosses 20 million lifetime is here to stay. If you replace the PS2's sales with the PS3's sales last generation, Sony would still be beating out the Gamecube and Xbox, and both those companies are still making consoles, so I think it's safe to say that Sony will be okay.
This probably means third party controllers will finally have Sixaxis support, as well as Bluetooth synching.
I know the one non-Sony controller I have has neither of these, which is why its rarely used.
For anyone that wants to see what did make the list: http://www.gameplayer.com.a... < Start there and follow it through all 10.
I'm not sure I completely agree with all of his picks, but I definitely see his viewpoint. Whining and chastising him isn't doing you any good. This guy saw a lot of demos behind closed doors, so maybe you should respect his opinion?
Maybe Microsoft made a deal to bring Hulu exclusively to 360?
Can you access it through PlayOn or another workaround?
Just 2. I've never heard of his problem, but I've had 2 PS3's stop reading discs. The 2nd time it happened was a month after I got it back from repair. Luckily, I didn't have to pay for either because I bought the in-store warranty. Also, both incidents happened after storms. I don't think my surge protector is a safe as I used to think. So from now on, I try to unplug it if there's any storm activity in my area.
After very little problem with my PS2, I didn't expect to have prob...
