Hopefully the man was arrested. I can understand being scared that people are up to no good when they are parked around your neighborhood after midnight, but to outright run out of your house and start firing at people is insane. Even if his side of the story is true (and you know its bullshit because he shot the rear tire) who just runs out in front of a car with their gun drawn and expects someone to not panic and fight back or flee?

Trespassing at someones house... by sitting in their car in front of it. Shit, can't you even read the four sentences after headline, killer876? You didn't even have to click the link.

They didn't do anything. The servers keep going down whenever they add more countries when they were barely stable to begin with. This is just a bunch of retarded 13 year-old kids.

You'd have to spoof your GPS to do so, which will get you softbanned and potentially permanently banned at a later date.

Terrible guide, there is no reason to pop Incense or waste time trying to capture while you have a Lucky Egg going. How to actually burst level:
1. Collect 600ish candies between Pidgey, Caterpie and Weedles.
2. Collect an equal amount of Pidgeys, Caterpies and Weedles according to your candies (example: 240 pidgey candies means having 24 pidgeys)
3. Pop the Lucky Egg
4. Spend ALL 30 minutes evolving
DO NOT run around hatching/hunting/gym battling ...

Major parts of the game don't even function and the servers crash what seems like every hour, but sure, lets release it in more places so they too can be disappointed with it.

The radar doesn't even function currently. There is basically no way to track Pokemon, all you can do is wander and pray or sit on a lure. Coupled with the frequent server issues, freezing and GPS failures, this game is going to quickly burn away the goodwill it's earned. But F it, lets release it in 23 countries during the weekend despite barely functioning in the ones it's already released in!

If you are talking about Pokemon Go itself, then no, it's still buggy as shit, locks up all the time, and drains your battery fast enough that charging it won't even counter the drain. Devs are too busy swimming in money Scrooge McDuck-style to spend the time to double the amount of servers, patch up the hardlocks, and possibly develop a 2D mode to help with the battery issues.

I rarely ever see children playing this in public, and if I do they are surrounded by adults who are also playing.

Still hilarious that parents for years have begged their children to go outside and play and when they finally do they completely lose their shit and try to find a way to stop it.

As long as it's just a spot making an otherwise rare Pokemon common, rather than denying all other places said rare Pokemon, I'm OK with this.

The absurd amount of Charmanders at my local (very large) park is pretty strange. Literally no where else around here has such an insanely concentrated amount of what is considered a rare pokemon. Charmander is probably 1/3rd of the total pokemon available there.

Phone games that go above and beyond and simply don't suck your wallet dry have always been OK. It's just that finding one like Monument Valley is like finding a single needle in all the haystacks of the world combined.

Most people interested in Pokemon aren't currently playing Pokemon on the 3DS because:
A: The last game was a remake (of one of the worst generations)
B: It's been 8 months since the release of said remake

It is a bad game, I agree, but it is a fantastic social tool and is getting millions of people outdoors exercising, and for that it's doing it's job very well. If they don't iron out the bugs soon though, I can see the fad falling fast though. Server issues are still plaguing the game as if it's hour one; you'd think they could afford to spend a single days worth of profit on server infrastructure so that the barebones content we have now at least works all the time.

Not every single piece of entertainment has to cater to every single demographic out there, but I'd expect no less of a sensationalist "article" from Kotaku.

For years: "Why don't you go outside and play?"
This past week: "Oh God they are actually playing outside, what can we do to stop this?"

It's definitely not a risk to children; they aren't the ones primarily playing it in the States. Of the dozens, if not hundreds of people I've seen playing the game, only two have been under the age of 16-ish, and one was my neighbor who played it all of a single time before she got bored.

Valve waited too long.
"And Steam does not have a system for turning in-game items into real world currency"
This sounds worse than the rationalization that pachinko isn't gambling because you can't exchange the balls for money within the establishment; you must make the perilous trek to... the building next door. With virtual items you don't even have to leave the comfort of your home. Valve isn't kicking any gambling sites of the backend and this ...
