Well Xbox One had a huge day-one update to remove the absurd DRM system they had in place. Couldn't get around it, it was required to even start playing games.
Put toxic players in their own toxic community and move people from the "nice" players to the toxic community regularly. Hell, give them their own leaderboards and whatnot.
It's not working anymore, at least in Europe. MvC:I sold extremely poorly in its first week.
Maybe if it has actual choices, dozens of endings and isn't littered with QTEs, unlike Cage's previous two games. Otherwise, it'll be little more than a rental that you finish over a weekend if its just a bunch of pretend choices and two endings.
Yeah fans of the past titles don't remember iconic characters like Wolverine, Magento, Storm or Sentinel, but they are definitely glad trash like Firebrand and Spencer are back.
Yes it does. Terrible roster, terrible graphics, terrible music, terrible character designs, reused assets, $60 character DLC pack. Lets not forget they were showing off characters with mostly complete movesets less than a week after release, which screams cut content to sell later.
The gameplay in Death of the Outsider was the best of the series, it's a shame that it's only in a rather short-sighted and small game.
No one remembers characters like Wolverine, Magneto or Doctor Doom, but Spencer, Firebrand and Jedah? Definitely worthy fan favorites.
Co-op would have sold me and my friends three copies. None of us bothered to even rent it.
Wow, a butt ugly game stuffed with reused asset, terrible sound design, a pathetic cast, and announcing 6 DLC characters at the cost of another $60 less than a week after release didn't get them millions upon millions of sales? I'm honestly shocked.
It's pretty obvious Sega pressured them to remove any mention of it (which is within their right), but that doesn't mean the emulator won't still run it, however. It would be smart for Sega to just port the game to PC and announce it soon, the demand is obviously huge and Japanese games are selling better than ever on Steam; they themselves having extreme success over the past few years with their ports.
DLC is usually available to pirate and cheat engine lets you bypass microtransactions. A big problem is that a pirated version holds more value to the consumer than a legit copy because of things like day-one DLC, preorder DLC, microtransactions and DRM; all of which are avoided if you simply don't pay. It's kinda an endless cycle that publishers need to take the first step in stopping, because doubling down on those bad practices isn't going to convert pirates, only encourage new...
Because religion sure is setting a good bar for morality these days. Get off your high horse.
Hell I bet anime and cartoons benefit even more, because the merchandise is marked up so much higher than the shows themselves.
I wouldn't say best selling necessarily, because look at the Dreamcast, but it definitely boosts hardware sales in the case of PSP, DS and probably 3DS and Wii U now.
Eh, Steam refund is not always fool-proof. Three hours is just not enough time for some games. That time includes setup, keybinding, controller setup (Xpadder takes a while if necessary, and usually requires the game open to test buttons), and other possible troubleshooting. Some games (looking at No Man's Sky) don't reveal themselves to be junk until after the intro or first chapter, which are usually front-loaded with cutscenes and lengthy tutorials (why do you think they brought th...
Pretty sure the report specifically states its only true for games, not movies. And yes, some people buy games after they pirate them. Modern PC port quality is so hit-and-miss these days, who knows whats gonna work on mid-range hardware without testing it first. Some people buy games they pirate and end up enjoying a lot and buy the game to support great developers, or at least buying other merchandise of the IP they would have otherwise not have purchased. Pirates can also spread good word-...
Too bad it released the same day as Danganronpa V3. Much more worried about accidentally seeing spoilers for that than playing a multiplayer-centric game early, so I got that first.
I don't want a VS multiplayer game, if it was just co-op or had a just co-op mode I'd be all over it.
As much as I loved this game, and as cool as it is that they are releasing what looks like a sizable expansion, I feel like its too early to release a "complete" edition. I hope this isn't the only DLC they plan on making, or that the complete edition package includes a code to redeem for a future expansion.
