$70 has caused me to plan on not buying it. Assuming I get a PS5 w/in a reasonable amount of time and still have interest perhaps I'll rent it but I'm not paying $70 for every game I want to play next gen... which is unfortunate because I wanted to support these games and game. but $70 per game next gen means I'll be making some hard choices and passing on many titles I otherwise would've bought.
As for internet required. That's a disturbing trend that ...
that's just it. The companies are making record numbers in sales & profits. Corporate greed. On top of that we do already have a scheme/scam that includes $60, $70/$80, $100, and even $120-200+ packages for any given big name game. In the $70-100 range it's usually just some dlc crap and maybe a steel book.... But that's my biggest problem. The current structure allows the consumer to decide whether or not they spend $60, $80 or $100+ for any particular game.
if they can deliver I'd welcome it. I started using Amazon back in like '03 because they were reliable and I was able to order games I wanted that weren't carried locally. Then it was more or less being a Prime member, the $10 discount at one point.... Now they've become to big for their own good. Often aren't reliable and time and time again by the time a Collector's Edition or Console is actually listed it's already "currently unavailable." So if Gamest...
I'm disappointed but I can care less. I played through the game and got the Platinum at release. Also, recently I went back to play the DLCs and it was a complete cluster F trying to re-learn all the tools at my disposal and how to play the game. Honestly I don't know why I bother buying DLCs because I either never play them or this happens.
Regardless it's disappointing but unfortunately no one owes any consumer an upgrade. I do feel more developers, including...
and just like PS5 there's probably 21+ thousand on ebay. F'n bots and scalpers. F'n limited availability.
not really. Amazon is instantly out of anything that has limited availability. Be it a game or console. I can refresh the page every 5 minutes all night once a new CE is announced or, yeah, PS5 pre-orders are going up and by the time I finally pull a product page, "Currently Unavailable"
But yes, it would be nice to know exactly how many each retailer was allotted.
@Kavorklestein. Apples and oranges my friend. Sony didn't go out and buy Square Enix. Let's not forget Square Enix has been making games for whatever platform they want since the beginning of time. They started exclusively on Nintendo then switched to PS with FFVII. Yet they still made Crystal Chronicles exclusively for the Gamecube. And yes, since XIII they have been releasing their main series on both platforms. If Bethesda/Zeni Max wanted to make, say Elder Scrolls or Fallout for X...
those exclusives have come from studios that were not 3rd party developers releasing games on multiple platforms. Sony has, in large, created their own studios and only bought studios who were already committed to creating games only on Playstation. There's a big difference.
I certainly agree MS needs exclusives to entice people like me who have owned XB consoles in the past but feel the lack of exclusives makes it pointless to own them. However MS has the resources to...
if these are going XB exclusive that's a huge dick move by MS. They obviously have the funds to create studios and recruit talent to make exciting new games and IPs that give gamers a reason to buy a MS platform. Gamers like myself who have owned multiple XB consoles in the past but feel the lack of exclusive content doesn't make them a must own. Sony has acquired their fair share of developers yes, but largely those were developers who chose to work specifically on Playstations platf...
yep, not surprising. All their games I've played have been GREAT!! Been looking forward to this game since they announced it. So happy it's finally on console.
I mean $60 for 3 games is not a bad price; that's $20 each. I haven't opened my copy but from what I have seen about these games I do think they should've spent time polishing these games up [especially 64] but for what it is, it's not a terrible package And making Mario 64 4:3 is mindboggling. That should've been widescreen or an option to play either widescreen of 4:3. Regardless I for one am just happy to finally play Galaxy since I skipped the Wii and Wii U. *update* ...
and surely for $70 no less. I'll pass the re-releases unless it's a PS2-3 era Remake.
unfortunately I see myself buying A LOT less games next gen. Cringe, maybe even actually renting games instead. And yes, perhaps even buying more games when they're 50% or more off.
I'm not going argue against some games not being worth the price but... Value is subjective and we are already have a pricing structure that involves $60, $70/80, $100, and even $120-200+ packages. Along with DLCs and Micros in seemingly, almost every title. Allow people to pay what the...
I don't agree with your logic but yeah, it's not necessarily Sony's fault. It's the retailers. Regardless, at the same time, it makes Sony look bad imo. And Sony did say it wouldn't happen at a moments notice. They said pre-orders start tomorrow then what happened? pre-orders did happen without notice because the ball dropped and shite hit the fan the night before pre-orders were suppose to go live. Again, not necessarily their fault but it's still BS and a bad look. ...
it was a shite show... and I'm pissed AF. woke up early to catch the showcase and hopefully get a pre-order. Despite them saying pre-orders open tomorrow I kept checking Amazon along with a couple other outlets occasionally to get a pre-order in because I had a feeling shite might go down. At 9:30 Eastern I got an email from Best Buy. Not my preferred choice but ok, whatever. Seen it at 9:50 and for 30+ minutes I couldn't get to checkout. No luck elsewhere. Amazon search finally pulle...
ewe GaaS. The game that keeps charging you then slowly or abruptly takes away said content. GaaS can get F'd. At least the way it's been presented thus far.
why not just slap it on the back of the box with everything else. Or idk, maybe placing it in the header of the box art, say, across from the PS5 logo or even below the ratings box. Better yet, just slap a sticker on the cellophane of each game.
to late for me. though I am still waiting on my copy from Limited Run; stupid patch. tis good news though. I hope they do a Orta remake/remaster next
likely nothing.
everyone needs a Snickers or two.
