that's an understatement. been wanting to play them for a while but finally picked up Cold Steel I-IV in late Jan. Because I kept putting it off I ended up having to buy I and II digitally. Anyway, played through the entire series in 2-3 months & still wanted more. Actually just finished another Falcom game, Ys IX about five minutes ago. First Ys I've played since PS2 but that's another topic.
Even though it'll be going back in time a bit I can't wa...
CoD is a juggernaught but what's it really matter. Before I go any further, yes I understand publishers do work around CoD because that will be hot seller the week of release. However, a couple weeks before or after; who cares. Xbox gamers are going to be gobbling up Halo regardless. You can't simply ignore the last quarter of the year simply because CoD drops every Oct-Nov or whatever. Set a release date and, what, Activision drops CoD a week before you, who cares, push Halo back a w...
I watched this the other day. If I recall in the first comment he says that he realized the disc was being inserted upside down and tried the right way w/o any change. As someone else mentioned, this video is from several months back as well. Regardless, that was a lot of hassle, imo, to even try getting a disc drive to register. For those who haven't watched he had to remove a few pieces from the donor board onto the digitals board. So even if possible this isn't something easily don...
For years now, perhaps well over a decade even, it appears the Japanese market have moved toward portable gaming. Be it handhelds or cellphone gaming. That simply seems to have been the trend there. However mini games, poor graphics, weak controller, etc are all irrelevant and a matter of opinion. I often find myself in the mindset of not wanting to play a bad looking game but that doesn't make any less great or fun. While it's seemingly true that, games that can be played in shorter ...
Where is Blooborne 2, Demon's Souls 2. Well as we all know those were built buy a 3rd party studio called From Software; at least one of exclusively for Sony. While Demon's Souls was a PS3 exclusive do we even know the details of? That's a game I imported from Play-Asia because I knew Sony wouldn't publish it stateside; also the Hong Kong version had an option for English. For all we know From came to Sony and they agree finance it or an agreement to publish it in Japan and As...
Honestly, top of my head I'd call it a draw. Neither really came hard and both had mediocre showings with a sprinkle of announcements. At least in terms of what only they offer.
you can import your save. keep in mind it's 2 different trophy sets though.
I started the game last week and downloaded the update the other night. However I deleted the PS5 version and continued the game on the PS4 version. There were some upgrades but in my experience there were more drawbacks. Mainly assets not loading, pop in, etc.
sounds more like laziness. The engine they're using is archaic and needed either a major revamp if possible or a completely new engine to work with.
Also, if I recall correctly, both PS4/5 and XB1/X have a similar [PC like] architecture unlike generations prior which often relied on proprietary tech like the PS2s Emotion Engine or the PS3s Cell... Having this similarity should make it easier for developers to develop cross platform games. It just reeks of total BS. Thei...
the slow, stale, typical Star Wars combat hinders the game for me. Personally I see this as being the perfect SW game to break that norm and offer a faster paced, action play style. That alone would do wonders for me. I also find myself putting the controller down often when playing this. Like I can't wait to just be done with it. I also feel the game can't decide if it wants to be Tomb Raider, Uncharted or Souls-like. The level design has been great and it's a dam good game with ...
kinda wish I had. then again it's still a long ways out... regardless super excited for this one. It may not be Suikoden in name but being a spiritual successor is good enough.
Star Lord could a use a trim up front. that poofy hair in the front is a bit much. Star Lord does not have Trump hair.
But that's precisely it, for me. The gameplay itself appears to need some work. Doesn't look bad but doesn't look all that good/fun either. For a game like this I think combat should be moving more quickly as well. I'm sick of single player games where everything, including running, feels like a crawl.
I'm hopeful th...
looks like I shouldn't have upgraded yet. Just started the game like 3 nights ago and the upgrade has it's own trophy list. Guess I should've figured as much but still... So upgrader be warned if you're still in the process of finishing the PS4 version on your PS5....
after Odyssey I felt like this was going to be a snooze fest. Outside the Viking theme nothing about this game clicked with me. Matter of fact Valhalla is the first AC game aside from Rogue I never even bought and I still have zero interest or desire to. Everything I see just doesn't seem or sound appealing in the slightest. To top it off it's like they string more pathetic excuses for stories along to pad game play time. I don't mind a long game but AC's progression of story ...
@Inverno idk. game doesn't play like it was rushed to me. I just started playing it a few nights ago after picking it up on sale recently. Granted it's your typical old, stale, slow paced combat like any other Star Wars game at it's core. I see so much potential in this game but I doubt that, given more time, Respawn would've actually hammered out the vision I see as possible. 2 cents.
that's just it. there might be an exception but every single GoW I can recall was pushed back from X year release to March of the following year. Ever since the OG GOW on PS2 and if I recall, including the PSP games as well. Every single one. scratch that. the reboot released in April so there's the exception to the March rule XD
Because of this I knew dam well the game would not be releasing this year.
I expected it to be 2022. GoW has a tendency to release in March of the following year of it's expected release year. Many have had a 'XX scheduled release only to be pushed to into March of the following year. There may be the exception to this but every single one that I can recall has been pushed to March. That's just how it always goes.
right. I struggled to find some quality turn based RPGs to play w/in the past year. They are a dying breed and it's sad. I'm sure there's several I've overlooked somehow but just look at how few good to great turn based RPGs even released this past gen. Top of my head obviously DQXI, Persona 5 and Trails of Cold Steel series... Dragon Quest was one of very few. I'm not opposed to games, such as the next Trails series, offering both turn based and action long as they both p...
if it didn't meet their expectations then they're setting the bar far too high. You can't expect every new IP to sell like Ghosts or Horizon. Long as any new IP garners enough sales and is not only profitable but enjoyed by gamers then nothing else should matter.... Fook the Metacritic and other BS sources to determine success & don't set sales expectations at 10+ million first month for every title.
Having said that. I do agree with Sony not green ligh...
no doubt, some DLC's have been good-great.
However the problem is how long it takes to release these DLC's. Understandably it takes to develop more content and DLC w/in 30-90 is going to be suspected of held back content, etc, etc. Anyway w/o reading the article I think this is a part of the writers issue. Often times it's HARD to pick a game back up after months+ away from the game when the DLC or batch of DLCs are finally released. Figuring out the controls, ...
Platinum Games from prior to being Platinum to what they've done has been nothing short of a solid track record. Because of this I remain firm that the jury is still out. While the details and trailer were disappointing, for me, I'll wait until we get more information and perhaps even until the game is out to see what the people think. I'd rather a single player experience but if it's a good enough game, that's fun, perhaps I can talk a friend or two into picking it up. As...
