does this writer not understand what a century is?
Headline reads: "A game that came out in 2011, still relevant at the turn of the century."
I was busy smoking cigars & working so I didn't have time, rather, the dedication for Skyrim when it dropped. I did pick up the PS4 version several years ago but it's so dated, imo. That and I apparently wasn't in the mood the one time I started Skyrim. Only playing for about as long as it took for...
Astral Chain too. That starts with a shoot em up bike scene. I probably thought of that first as it's been so dam long since i last played Vanquished. But as Chevalier said, same developer. It simply looks like a badass game that Platinum would make and it certainly appears to use their formula.
This game was one of the highlights for me. Definitely looking forward to seeing more, getting a date and my hands on it. Just hope they deliver.
that's my thinking. My initial thought, was, wtf, they trying to create a Miles Morales. It works in Spiderman. Or perhaps even other games/characters ala Deadpool. A game like Forspoken, to me, seems like it should take a more serious tone. Shit I got warped to another dimension I'd be freaking the F out, not cracking wise ass remarks. It's like they're taking an amazing idea and butchering it. I'll likely still gladly play it and only time will tell how it truly pans out...
@giveyerheadawobble
I suspect it goes further than that alone but yes, unfortunately that is how gaming is and only more games will follow suite over the years.
that's where I'm kind of confused. Playing the reboot I came out feeling like this has to be another trilogy. For how slow and little the story actually developed in the reboot it just had trilogy written all over it, imo. It was basically just an introduction to [some of] the cast & the surrounding areas.
Only time will tell but it seems like with Ragnarok Santa Monica Studios might try to condense too much material into the finale. Unless this game is 60+ hou...
truly unfortunate. there is absolutely no reason any single player portion of any game should require internet connectivity.
@Teflon02 - my bad then. I must've missed the date. shame I can't delete that portion lol
no doubt reaching....
The 3rd party games showcase was good and filled with some solid titles; even if one isn't looking forward to them. They proceeded to hammer it home with the PS titles @ the end. Showing Spiderman 2 w/ Parker and Morales along with Venom, Wolverine, GT7, GoW...
which are a small portion of what PS Studios are working on but it also doesn't make sense to show their entire hand as many games are just further out & we don&...
even if it was. the fuck does it matter. it's still a tragic death of an uber talented person.
great prices? the original CE was $120 US in 2017. I have it. It came with an 8" Aloy figure, steel book, 48 page art book, all the digital bs along with a physical copy of the game. This is a price bloated, money hungry grab for what you get in return. Not only that but you don't get a F'n actual physical copy of the game but rather a digital copy.
not sure what you mean because the Regalla Edition, like the Collectors, comes with a digital copy of the game. I don't see a special package on Best Buy including the physical copy too. Nor would i see them offering said package. Best Buy has the exact same package Sony is selling & when you read the description it's still a digital copy of the game.
yep, went to order it thinking that because I sleep all day I probably missed out but that's the first thing I noticed; no actual disc. GTFO!! It comes with a steelbook, for what? There isn't even a game inside. Or is that suppose to please physical collectors because it doesn't cut it for me. I might bite but the more I think of it, chances are that much as I'd like to get it, mainly because I have the first CE, I'll likely just buy the dam game for $70 and nothing more. ...
they have to make sure that despite the laws on the books their citizens are ready to work 996. For those who don't know, the working hours for many in China, especially in the tech sectors is 996 which means 9am to 9pm 6 days a week and for many, on call 24/6 or 24/7 too....
true piroh. we are changing, though, video games are right alongside us in that regard; I think.
It's funny because I've tried some older games recently and it helped me realize just how much gaming has evolved. Not only in graphics [obviously] but in button layout, interfaces, gameplay, sound etc.
I was a child at the tail end of the Atari 2600 so my first console generation was NES. 8 and 16 bit games will always be held in high regard & t...
no doubt. I'd almost be willing to bet E6 is a launch title for next gen. These games take many years just to develop & last I saw E6 is still in pre-production.
I mean, if there's nothing to show.... after all Sony seems to be waiting closer to when their games actual release to drop more information and build up short term hype before release. Not to say it would likely happen with major Sony IPs but a long hype period is just bad for games and gaming in general imo. In recent years it seems Sony announces a sequel/game to quiet the rumor mill then go silent; for the most part. Now I know they showcased Horizon at some point this year but the fa...

@TheLordOfStuff
Sony already owns Funimation and that has never been included with PS+ so I don't see it happening for Crunchy Roll.
The thing is, I know many have said this now, but Sony Corp is divided into several sub groups all independent of one another. Because of this I'd imagine the gaming division would have to strike a financial deal to offer Crunchy Roll, Funimation or any other Sony owned service. At the end of the day these are all i...
true, Sony has a variety of divisions that all work independently of one another & are their own division/group w/in Sony Corp. In business it's common to spin off divisions for finances and whatever other reasons. I don't recall the actual structure Sony uses and things sometimes change but yes, the streaming & entertainment/picture/movie studio side is independent of the Playstation/Gaming division. Just like how the music division is a branch not under the PS/Gaming umbrell...
In a normal circumstance I'd agree but I have my doubts atm. Though, it is w/o doubt that it's only a matter of time before the pricing does come down. The problem now is how long.
The ? now, for me, is whether or not I have the patience. I don't want to overpay again for storage as I did with both PS3 and PS4 and while I don't need the extra storage atm the desire to add 2TB is great. Which is likely just caused by excitement and nothing more.
