@darth
They do attend game conferences. They've been at E3 every single year it's been held. They also regularly go to gamescom and other conferences
SMTV is the best selling SMT game ever. So this is incorrect.
Everyone disagreeing with me, can you please explain to me why you think these Persona games are graphically intensive?
No, these Persona games are all on systems that are weaker than the Switch (PS3, PSV, PSP). It has nothing to do with power
Persona 5 is on the PS3, Persona 4 Golden is on the Vita and P3P is on the PSP. The Switch outperforms all of those on a hardware level. Being "weak" isn't an excuse, these aren't demanding games
Switch is still going strong. I wonder how this Q2 will fair for them. Iirc, Q2 of 2021 was meh sales wise
@foxtrot
It's not hypocritical if they aren't the same reviewer...different reviewers have different opinions. Ergo, not hypocrisy
You don't have to do something drastically new to be a solid game. As long as the gameplay is fun. It seems like this has fun gameplay, hence the score.
I liked the State of Play they had. I thought it was one of their best ones so far (haven't been a big fan of them in the past). Sure, some of these things were leaked ahead of time, but that isn't Sony's fault.
I think that depends on your definition of "far ahead" and when you think the Wolverine is going to come to the market. If Wolverine hits in 2023, I couldn't see the PS5 being more than 10M units ahead. Not unless the stock issue changes drastically.
@andy
That's not how generation's work. Things don't automatically carry over. Otherwise the PS3 wouldn't have been the worst selling PS home console and the Xbox one would have sold better than it did.
The PS4 had the bonus of launching as a solid product with good cost to power ratio whereas both of its competitors shot themselves in the foot. That isn't so this time around.
@andy
Over 90% of PS4s sales happened after year 1 (more like 93% if we are being honest) This is VERY typical for console sales. 1 in 6 is like 16%. That's way too much
@andy
most people don't buy consoles when they first release. The best selling years for a console (a successful one anyway) are ALWAYS a few years into its life cycle. DS was about four years in, Switch was three years in, PS4 was three years in, etc.
You all are honestly just ignorant with regard to sales. You don't know how it works and it's pointless to try to educate you.
@chevalier
True, but you can't make the claim that the PS5 is the fastest selling console anymore because it factually isn't. Unless you say "In the first five months"
Also, demand has also increased because of short supply. This is known as the scarcity principle. Suggesting that the PS5 would outsell the best selling year of the DS by almost double because current demand is still high is absolutely absurd regardless
@Eonjay
If that's what you really think then you are legitimately clueless.
@neutral
Published April 2021...that's last year. It is no longer the fastest selling console. It hasn't been since about September of 2021.
@Shane
The PS5 is not the fastest selling console of all time anymore. It hasn't been for quite some time. PS4, Wii, DS, and Switch have all sold more consoles in this time period.
@S2
4M a month every month is insane. You need to brush up on your console sales. The best selling year for any console ever was the DS in 2009, and it was selling on average 2.5M a month. And that is the best selling year for any console ever made, and m...
20M in 19 months is pretty good. Over the next twelve months Sony expects to almost double that number too. Here's to hoping they can meet production
Probably a little faster than the PS4 (which took 17 months). Probably 14 months.
Switch isn't it exclusively a handheld, though. Also, making the distinction doesn't matter. It's not like the 3DS outsold the PS4.
