"what's the big deal if it does?"
-Well, it's not a "big deal", but it's interesting to see the bounce back from the Wii U to the Switch.
"Doesn't mean Switch is better"
- I literally didn't say anything about this. Don't know why you brought it up.
Just a little more than 1M left for the Switch to surpass the PS4. Based on Switch sales from last year, Switch should surpass it next week. However, a drop YoY for Switch is likely, so at worst it will be the following week.
I think it'll hit just shy of 150. Maybe 145 or so. But it depends alot on software next year and how soon a successor is announced for sure.
Lol keep up the disagrees people. It's funny how sensitive you all are
Switch is less than 2M away from the PS4. For reference, last year between November 13 and December 3rd Switch sold over 2.7M consoles. Even with a 33% drop, Switch will outsell PS4 before the first full week of December. Gameboy will be outsold just a few weeks after that by the end of December.
The next console for PS5 to outsell is Atari 2600 at 30M, which it should do within this holiday period.
If VC was so lucrative, Nintendo would be doing it. That's just a fact. Nintendo isn't one to just leave money lying on the table.
You can't disagree with facts, people. The cutscenes I'm TLoU on PS3 were prerendered. Look it up
Oh c'mon, seriously? It's focused on Candy Crush and not one of the best selling franchises of all time that repeatedly tops the best selling games year in and year out on both Xbox AND PlayStation?
As if.
@Andy
That's because the cutscenes were prerendered.
I personally prefer Sonys approach over MS's. I've enjoyed a lot of Xbox IP in the day, but I'm not a fan of the push to subscription services. In addition, Sony has just been releasing way more first party content.
@sully
Why would I do that when someone already quoted the article about the newest PS5 model as a response to Orchard?
The article literally acknowledged that. It's like the second paragraph
The revision was literally mentioned in the article. Not everyone fanboys for consoles like you, you know. Quit assuming people are out to get PlayStation. You'll get more sleep at night.
Everyone disagreeing with me straight up doesn't understand sales numbers. So good job admitting you're just illogical fanboys people
IMO the first is the worst. But 2-4 are fantastic games. 2 is IMO the best.
@mrninosan
That isn't true. As I said, shipped includes the day they are shipped out to before they are in a retailers system to, of course, the day they are sold. There is a long time between that then. A retailer can't sell what they don't have.
Shipped, not sold. There is always a discrepancy between sold and shipped because shipped includes products that haven't even arrived at retailers and products that haven't put into a retailers system. Those arent sold products yet.
Sony announced shipped. VGChartz tracks sold.
It's funny. The media was on Taylor's side until she asked people to donate to anti-abortion groups. Just goes to show that the media doesn't care about the argument or situation itself, but just tries to virtue signal as much as possible.
Personally, I thought it was dumb she called for a boycott. Then I thought she was dumb for lying about what platinum offered. Now I think she is dumb for doubling down and asking for donations from boycotts to go to anti abo...
@jznrpg
Nintendo has never been close at stopping making consoles. Heck the first time they reported a loss was in 2013. Sega reported losses all the way through Saturn and Dreamcast which is why they stopped making consoles.
Switch has also surpassed GBA + GameCube sales. Switch will likely surpass PS4 + Vita sales, and the upper limit is probably N64 + GB sales.
PSP + PS3 sales isn't going to happen for Switch, and NDS + Wii sales is just impossible for any single console.
