I lost faith in microsoft last E3 and I doubt anything other than concrete announcements will get me excited.
This announcement will probably be gears 3 kinect support, kingdoms trailer and some new xbla arcade game announcements.

NPD will almost certainly not effect ps3 games much and it certainly won't effect the ps3 the same way kinect has effected the xbox 360. Sad but true.. core games will include same old sequel announcements, maybe a new trailer for that new IP they're doing and then they'll try ramming kinect titles down our throats.
Steel Batallion will be on rails and you point your hands where you want to shoot with a few little other movements you can do like dodge and maybe even call out voice commands.. that's a "core gaming" kinect title in microsoft's eyes.
This!!! Segregating the people who got them where they are and labelling them as "core gamers" is nothing less than insulting. They shouldn't need to confirm they have a core gamer event planned, it should be a given.
Also announce some REAL games.. something new and fresh not just the same old same old sequels. However i'd admit i'd just settle for a halo 1 hd remake providing the gameplay was untouched and it contained mp.
Hardly surprising that people would have this idea of them using a pay to play model.. I mean they have a CEO who couldn't stop running his mouth off about making money.. it was a natural step forward for the franchise. It'll happen no doubt but forcing gamers to pay to play would be a huge mistake and i'm sure Kotick knows this.

If you want to be an online gamer, xbox is still where it's at sadly. I do think though in a few years that ps3 will be the only place for real gamers.
When Kinect inevitably fails, I wonder if microsoft will pull out of the console war? Xbots can say what they want but regardless of microsoft touting units shipped, I bet they've still not recouped the advertising budget. Don't know what country these statistics are from or how many but that's pretty funny. Microsoft release a product purely designed to make the xbox appeal to the Nintendo crowd yet Sony still manage to sell more consoles.. Regardless of how well kinect is doing, there is still hope for the real gaming industry. I think 2011 will only further the gap between the two consoles considering microsoft's exclusive lineup is so weak from what we've seen so far.

Played about 40 hours roughly. Maybe it's a case of each to their own but I used to be able to play halo 3 mp for hours on end without getting bored and the time would fly by, I can barely play an hour of Reach without getting bored.

It's more of a point of great games. It's always been about the exclusives.. as multiplatform games are a given so what's left is what makes the console you play special and what extra incentives you have for owning said console and sony will be laughing all the way to E3 when you compare lists.

Halo has already gone downhill with Reach. Hopefully 343 studios can recapture what made halo so addictive because reach is just methodical and boring.
Well considering two games on that list nothing is even known about not to mention one is probably on rails so really in terms of great exclusives, you're left with just Gears 3 and Forza 4. To be fair gears 3 is my most anticipated game for this year but this is going to be a terrible year for the 360 in terms of exclusives.

I imagine a release date for the gears beta.. seeing as it's a major selling point of bulletstorm, they'd want to increase sales by using gears 3 whenever possible.
