Hardcore games just don't work with Kinect.. only sort of games doable which are remotely hardcore would need to be on rails.. either that or turn kinect into a little gimmicky element of gameplay for games like gears. Anyhow microsoft have a long way to go before i'll folk out the cost of a console for motion free gaming.
Sure it is the best fps game, but it's not a big enough leap forward to deserve such high accolades.. after playing mp for five hours, I'd agree its an 8.5.
So what if the game is amazing... is it a fully fledged sequel? I think not.. it's not the same massive leap forward from WaW to MW2 and the score reflects this.
Finally a more accurate review.. everything i've seen from this game is mw2.5 and while that's a great thing, it isn't a significant leap forward to charge the same premium price they did for mw2.. i'm glad the score reflects this.

There are tons of words used which are quite bad. The whole well it's brought pain throughout history.. what pain? What possible pain can a word do to someone?

I love how this article started with the person saying that instead of getting a journalist who completes sp and spends 5 hours on mp and wraps it up, they got a cod fanatic... and tbh it shows the reviewer loves cod only cod and apparently plays nothing but cod.
It started nicely however I lost all respect and took everything else with a pinch of salt after they called the theatre mode revolutionary. Clearly the reviewer doesn't have much experience with other fps games ...
Because Kinect is a poor motion system.. it has severe design limitations. I'd say by christmas it'll be gathering dust on your shelf.
I wonder if this is a smart move? If Kinect is going to bomb like microsoft are boasting, surely the stock will go up before Christmas? I'd argue long term that Kinect isn't going to be as profitable as microsoft's marketing budget suggests however i'd imagine their shares will go up within a month.
My point that they don't work with kinect is because they'd have to be on rails.. it's just not feasible to mimic free movement in a kinect game.
Could very well be too little too late.. their focus on the family orientated market will leave too bitter of a taste for them to turn it around. Still, you just know Gears 3 is now going to support it however I can't imagine how it'd work without it being some sort of faddy gimmick like mimicking the motion of a chainsaw thrust or something.
PS: Hardcore games on kinect CANT work.. motion free hardcore games is impossible.

Doesn't suprise me.. microsoft are always playing catchup these days with the stuff which takes off and by the time they come around, people have moved on. In two years time microsoft will be releasing their tablet computer too.
Treyarch are on Activision's payroll meaning they'll only their royalties effect how much they make. It'll hurt Activision far more which is a freaking good thing.
