Publishers need to understand that the gamers are the customers. They might be selling something game related but it doesn't mean we are going to buy it.
This will get a lot worse for many publishers trying to milk the customer for every penny they have with microtransactions, expensive DLC and season passes.
People are wising up to their tactics and will just stop buying their games.
I'm just going to let Blizzard screw over the current customers (myself) and watch what happens when the casual crowd on mobile gets bored of their monetisation tactics and moves on.
Blizzard will be left with no one from their previous customers or their new casual customers. It will bring the downfall of Blizzard and Activision in the future.
Some other company will take their place and make great games again and the world moves on from the Blizzard...
Oh look the British/English hating is alive and well.
Can't expect anything less from a neanderthal like yourself. Yes I'm British, borne and bred.
Bungie and Activision will be sorely disappointed if they think people will spend money on their "zombie" game on PC.
I shall be playing till I can go no further then move on. No money spent whatsoever.
CDProjekt is the parent company of CDProjektRED and GoG. It will be drm free or they won't be able to sell their own game on their own store.
Oh I didn't know Spider-Man released on PC and Xbox as well?
The gaming world does not revolve around the Playstation release schedule. Maybe they should have skipped the PS4 release till there's a free gap and just released on PC and Xbox.
I actually enjoyed Shadow much more than the first 2 games. It went back to it's roots of actually raiding tombs and exploring but I played on PC which according to you doesn't seem to exist outside you...
I don't have a console this gen so no I won't be getting RDR2 on any platform. I got too many games to play as it is on PC.
No Red Dead Redemption was a coding mess and just wasn't salvageable for a PC release. It nearly didn't release on consoles never mind PC.
Rockstar or DMA Design as it was previously known started on PC with GTA1 but they've always been more console orientated and treat PC as a side project.
I won't be holding any hope of a PC version any time soon. I'll just watch a Let's Play on youtube like I do with most console exclusives.

Bethesda putting Fallout 76 on their own launcher is not going to end well for them. They have to prove themselves first and most of their games are a bug ridden mess at release. Their launcher is worse than Windows Store and that's saying something.
The modding community on PC fixes most of the problems and adds to their games so they become great games.
I have 5 clients to get games from for different publishers so I won't be adding another one...
How do you steal games that can't be bought any more?
Bethesda are also charging premium price on their store of £50 for the base game and £70 for the deluxe version.
Publishers only start their own launchers so they can charge more for their games. It has nothing to do with the 30% cut Valve take.
On PC digital is past, present and future as we don't have generations like on consoles.
You think you've got it good on consoles well the PC has it much better and has had backwards compatibility for decades.
This is why digital is the future on PC as it is more widely accepted and advanced.
Konami can do what it wants and think they've taken it down but it's out there now. There is no putting that back in the box. Do they not understand the internet and how it works?
@Zeref You can get a 2 week trial of the game pass for free. No one has to buy a game pass to play State of Decay 2 on PC or Xbox.
These 2 million players numbers mean nothing. It's just Microsoft way of fudging the stats and announcing they have 2 million players for a certain game not sales but players.
It doesn't bring in any money for Microsoft but is there to make them kinda look like they have been successful when they actually haven't. ...
Prove it.
If these sales numbers are wrong then Microsoft will have to correct these numbers or people will have no choice to believe EA's number are correct.
Either way it's on Microsoft to publish the correct sales figures which they've been avoiding for the last few years.
Microsoft can only fudge their PR announcements for so long before many more people will be asking questions about why Microsoft won't publish sal...
You sure Remedy are developing Quantum Break 2 after last time? Remedy didn't seem to like how they were treated by Microsoft and have already found a new partner for their next games.
Microsoft can't keep relying on their typical Halo, Gears, Forza lineup of games. It's getting boring as that's the only games Xbox is known for and nothing else.
MS will buy an exclusive 3rd party JRPG and think that will save them. It won't.
...
@cigi No it's not it's $30.
Where are these good reviews? I've read one where they also comment on the same bugs and unpolished nature of the game just like the first game.
They also mention everyone is tethered to the host of the game in coop and when they venture too far from them they are teleported back to them. That doesn't sound like a 2018 game more like a game from 1998.
The game is too similar to the first game. The developers don't seem to have learned anything...
Valve isn't like Microsoft or EA. They don't just buy them, publish one game and then close the studio after they've done with them. They'll support them and encourage them to make better games with the extra resources available.
This is good news for Campo Santo and gamers especially PC gamers.
Not buy already established studios but create and invest in completely new studios from scratch.
Inxile and Obsidian will not last long at MS. They will be exploited for their IP and closed down like Ensemble and Lionhead was.
