Cyberpunk 2077 on PC is a very good game. The previous consoles couldn't run the game very well but the game shouldn't have been on them in the first place.
CDPR should have launched on PC first then developed the game for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S at a later date.
Elden Rings has nothing to do with Dark Souls. It's a separate story with Sekiro game mechanics.
Everything about the game reminds me of Sekiro, not Dark Souls.
From the jumping to the freedom of movement and the conversations with NPCs.
For me, Elden Ring is FromSoft expanding and improving its storytelling and gameplay to become a more open and inclusive game for everyone to enjoy not just the hardcore Dark Souls fans that they no...
The price of games on Epic and Steam is the same. Where is the advantage for customers on Epic?
The store is a developer-focused store not customer so they have no incentive to improve it.
There have only been one game that made a profit for Epic since they started buying exclusivity rights. It is the reason Epic has lost £130 million over that time.
Most people snatch the free games on Epic but don't buy anything. It is a loss...
Ember Labs is the publisher and developer.
This is an Epic Store exclusive on PC so Epic would have given Ember Labs a lot of money to stay exclusive for a year at least and pay for development as well as guaranteed sales.
It's coming to PS4/PS5 but Ember Labs is publisher there as well it seems. Nothing to do with Sony.
This is not locking out a "class" for preorders. This is more like a early access starter build as you get the skills earlier than you would have done.
You can still design this build yourself but later in the game by playing the game and unlocking the skills.
Not a deal breaker for me.
Anything that takes up processing power will slow the game down. It has already been proven that Denuvo does slow games down. There is no disputing this.
It also depends how much slower the game will be by how effective the developers incorporate the DRM. There has been some very bad implementations of the DRM that has crippled the game it was meant to protect.
These hackers are destroying CD Projekt. I've finished Cyberpunk on PC. It is a great game and doesn't deserve this kind of backlash.
If gamers just wanted EA and Ubisoft cut n paste games you got your wish. If CDPR goes under because of this don't start complaining about crap games in the future. This is what I call karma for gamers.
By your actions you are ruining The Witcher 3 devs because 7+ year old console tech couldn't run Cyberpun...
I've played and finished the game on PC. No crashes, a couple of bugs and some graphical glitches. No worse than any Bethesda game that launches.
It's a great game with really memorable characters throughout. It will get better over time and they will release great expansions like they did with Witcher 3. I'm looking forward to the game's future expansions and free content.
It should not have released on the previous consoles. They were 7 ...
I've finished Cyberpunk 2077 on PC taking 110 glorious hours. It's a brilliant game with memorable characters with an amazing dark and repressive world.
But it could have been so much more. The technical side of the game is quite poor and should have been delayed to sort this out to polish the game much more than it is now.
I hope CDProjekt is hard at work at improving the game and making the game it can become.
If No Man's ...
It is the customer that sets the price they are willing to pay not the publisher. All it takes is patience for the price to decrease to a price we are willing to pay.
I've not bought a game for full price for several years and if PC games are increased in price it will just mean I wait longer for most games.
I shall be getting Uplay+ for £13/month to play Watchdogs Legion, Assassin Creed Vahalla and Immortal Fenyx Rising. It's cheaper to play...
Does that apply to Sony and Microsoft too?
They take 30% as well. You might want to think before you type...
Sweeney broke his contract with Apple by overriding the Apple payment system so Sweeney could get 100% of the profits instead of 70% so Apple removed his game and access to development tools then Sweeney sues Apple so Apple counter sues Epic.
Sweeney is no angel. He broke the rules first and then accuses Apple of being a monopoly. This is the person that set up his own PC digital store to pay off developers to make their games exclusive to his store for a year or more.
Developers and publishers can raise them to $100+ but it doesn't mean people will pay those prices.
It's a buyers market. Publishers will sell less the more the price is raised out of what people deem each game to be worth.
I can see many more developers going bust as people buy less games as they have to be more conservative in what they buy especially after the pandemic where money is tight.
Do they really want to raise prices...
You say greedy Gabe but 70/30 cut is the industry norm.
Sony, Microsoft, Ubisoft, EA, GoG and many others all have a 70/30 cut. The outlier is Epic Store as they've undercut the rest with their 88/12 cut.
Epic will up their cut to 70/30 very soon to pay for the additional features as time passes when they get around to improving their pathetic store if you can call it that. I mean what website can call itself a store without a shopping basket?
If you think Steam is ripping off developers that means you think Sony, Microsoft, Ubisoft, EA, GoG, etc are ripping off developers too.
They all have the industry standard cut of 70/30. It is Epic that is the outlier and undercutting everyone else.
The 88/12 cut won't last forever. It's unsustainable in the long term. Epic just doesn't have the influence to change anything. They will go bust before anyone follows them.
I wi...
Bright Memory on Steam was developed by one person in his spare time. You can call BS all you want but it won't be true.
Bright Memory Infinite will also be free to all people that bought the game on Steam like myself.
I always get Ubisoft games on Uplay. All 3rd party stores have to use Uplay anyway.
I only got RE2 Remake as I got a cheaper price for it. RE3 Remake I won't even touch till they stop charging AAA price for a remake of an old game.
A PC doesn't have generations like the consoles do. The PC platform is all generations and all games.
It really doesn't matter how powerful a PC is, there will always going be games to play from 30 years ago to present day for all PCs.
A console can only dream of having the games library that the modern PC does.
Power does not make them better, just better graphically than the last console generation, but they still can't co...
Epic pays the developer/publisher a Minimum Guaranteed Sales fee so they have sales no matter what happens. It's just not from actual customers.
Any sales report from Epic Games Store should be taken with a pinch of salt. It's all fake to make themselves look good.
