Or just boycott Epic Store like I am already doing. You see there are thousands of games released every month on PC and most of them still come to Steam.

I already bought Sekiro, Outward, Generation Zero, Risk of Rain 2, DMC 5, Dawn of Man this month alone and they were all released on Steam. Fk Epic Store I don't need or want it.

"worthless cash grabs with exploitative real money transactions" - You just described Epic only successful game for years - Fortnite. Epic doesn't care about older great games already on Steam. All they care about is stopping new Steam marketed games from being released on Steam at launch.

They want to be the only place that sells these paid exclusive 3rd party games and call themselves competition when they are anything but. Epic is toxic for the whole PC pla...

The game was advertised on Steam for months and then yanked from Steam 2 weeks before release. That's nothing to be proud of.

The developer/publisher are parasites and just jumped host while taking advantage of another store advertisement where the majority of PC gamers reside.

After the announcement hundreds, if not thousands, of the backers have refunded the game as they will not support the move to Epic Store considering they were promised a steam or GoG key at launch.

Now we get a steam/GoG key a year later after the game has launched. I requested a refund for the game I supported last year and was eagerly awaiting it's release but not any more.

The only way to send a message to developers is to remove the funding. If th...

Many people I know from the PC community are boycotting Epic Games Store. I certainly am. After the crap we got from Epic while they were with Microsoft I don't trust them and I certainly won't buy any games from the anti-consumer store.

Locking down games with a 1 year exclusivity deal so it can't be bought anywhere else is not competition. It's the complete opposite.

All Epic are doing to trying to change the PC platform into a console e...

Many people are just boycotting the Epic Store including myself. Epic isn't turning the PC market on it's head. It's just making Epic look pretty silly trying to bring bad console practices like exclusivity deals to PC.

I'll never support Epic Store or any games that have been bought off. I got enough games to play and many more over the next few months and they are all coming to a launcher I choose to use not like what Epic is doing.

What...

@Melankolis
Isn't that the point though? We can't compare prices for Ashen or Metro Exodus on different stores as they aren't on different stores. Epic saw to that when they bought their exclusivity for a year.

Some games have a discount but only for US customers. Everywhere else it's more expensive especially for the UK and EU.

I will never support Epic Store and it's anti-consumer and anti-competitive practices. I shall wai...

However big these publishers are, they just aren't big enough or efficient enough to supply content over the long term.

Players devour content faster than the developers can pump it out. It will always be a failure until they realise they have to actually create a full 60-100 hr game from the beginning and then add to it.

Bungie, Bioware and many other developers seem to think it's fine to create the world but put no content into it as that is wha...

@SuperSonic91

And therein lies the problem. Companies become so huge that they are paralysed in what to do next or how to improve the situation they got themselves into.

This is Microsoft problem and only Microsoft can get themselves out of it. A cheap and tacky gamepass or buying up 3rd party developers will not solve their self made problems.

They didn't invest into the Xbox from the beginning and now they are suffering from lack ...

Metro Exodus - Steam price £50, Epic store price £50. You were saying?

2542d ago 5 agree1 disagreeView comment

Epic is going to compensate the publisher for any lost sales. That's the deal Epic signed with all the developers that signed the exclusivity deal to be on the Epic store for a year or more.

I think Epic will run out of money very soon as Metro series was a beloved franchise on Steam with PC gamers. Not a wise move to turn your back on the community that made your game on PC.

I had the steam version of Metro Exodus preordered on cdkeys for £34.99. My preorder changed from a steam key to an Epic store key overnight so I cancelled my preorder and got Sekiro instead.

No developer or publisher controls where I buy or play my games. Koch Media made a grave mistake creating a kind of war with PC gamers over this idiotic move.

I will never support and buy games from Epic Store until Epic change their ways and stop treating the P...

Hardly any games is true 4k on consoles and even if they do it'll be 30 fps. This gen of consoles should have stuck to trying to get a consistent 1080p 60fps not maybe 4k maybe 30fps.

I shall be getting Metro Exodus on PC where my other original Metro and Redux games are.

You wanna support bad developers and bad games go right ahead. You only have yourself to blame for the trash we get these days.

Ark 2.0 or Arktlas as my friends and I like to call it can be relegated to the dustbin of gaming for all I care.

You support shit games you get more shit games.

Epic Store doesn't have any forums for customers to ask anyone about the games they bought. It is pretty poor service from Epic so far but at least developers get 88% of the profits. That'll serve them well in the future.

Buy games at Epic store and then use Steam services for customer support. Makes lots of sense...

Should I remove the game from my Steam wishlist then? It has always been coming to Steam on PC. Steam does support Windows 10 so saying it's Windows 10 and Xbox One exclusive doesn't really mean much.

If you mean Windows Store and Xbox One exclusive then the developer would lose quite a lot sales from PC gamers who don't support Microsoft's Windows 10/Xbox Store.

Bethesda Studios has nothing to do with ESO. It was their parent company, Zenimax, that developed it.

Assassin's Creed would not be able to run on Switch. It's up to Nintendo if they want more resource intensive games on their systems.

No excuses for a very low end console now.

Wasteland 3 was crowdfunded so unless Inxile want to piss off their backers they will stick to the original plan which is going to PC on Steam Early Access.

"Simultaneously releasing to Windows, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One."
