And without PC you'd be paying a hell of a lot more for your precious consoles. Who do you think pays top prices for high end or med graphics cards so technology can move forwards and decrease in price? Console gamers? I don't think so. You're still moaning about having to pay $400 for the whole system where the top end graphics cards cost double that.

If PC gamers were removed from the equation you'd paying upwards of $1000 for a console. Wouldn't be ex...

The scorpio and 4k gaming isn't the majority PC environment though. It's only about 1-5% of PC gamers that have 4k capable PC and the monitor to display 4k.

I certainly don't and I'm not that interested in 4k gaming for at least the next few years.

Microsoft and Sony are competing against an imaginary competition for the 4k gaming crown. It's ridiculous and makes no sense. They haven't even mastered the 1080p/60fps gaming consisten...

What happens now if the game gets poor sales when the game can't be cracked for a bit due to Denuvo? Still blame piracy or their utter incompetence at optimising their game?

Word of mouth can help or hinder game sales it all depends on how the game plays and the attitude of the developer to communicate to their customers and support their game. So far they've done a piss poor job on both points.

From what I've heard the PS4 version isn't m...

Their gaming division isn't worth that much. They have a budget just like any other department which is part of a parent company.

Most of MS profit comes from their software sales to corporations for Office and Windows not Xbox.

Vanquish is coming to PC this week as well. Will be great to play it again on my favourite platform of choice :)

Not a chance in hell. Microsoft have been away from PC platform for too long now. They don't have a clue what PC gamers want or need. MS are too consolified these days. UWP and Windows Store will die soon enough just like G4WL did.

The PC platform already has 5 pretty good store fronts with Steam, GoG, Uplay, Origin and Blizzard. The Windows Store isn't wanted or needed. Too little, too late for Microsoft as usual.

Paid mods was Bethesda idea as it was their game, Skyrim, that they wanted the paid mods for.

After the community backlash Valve swiftly removed the idea of paid mods.

Steam was one of the main store platforms to bring PC gaming back into the limelight once again and it's been going great ever since. The store still needs work and improvements but it's still better than Live or PSN.

Really? Prey is best played on PC not console. So who has the priority again?

PS4 has supposedly major input lag and there is no upgraded patch for the PS4 Pro version to improve performance to 60 fps.

This is an isolated incident that just happened to be with an IGN reviewer. Most PC gamers are praising the game due to how the game runs, the amazing map design and open gameplay. A true PC game for once.

Now IGN reviewed Dishonored 2 and gave it 9.3. On PC it ran so poorly and had major problems with frame pacing but it wasn't marked down for it. So why is Prey getting a bad rap with an isolated incident for an amazing game? This feels like more of a personal issue th...

Having Xbox Live and using Xbox Live are 2 entirely different things. I don't know anyone on Windows 10 PC that uses Xbox Live or Windows Store.

On the Xbox console you have no choice but to use Xbox Live. On PC we have many more and better choices.

I beg to differ but Steam is much bigger and better than Xbox Live on PC.

It's more System Shock than anything else. The father of sci fi horror exploration type games. Bioshock is the spiritual successor of System Shock and Prey 2017 is the continuation of those games. SOMA is also very similar to the new Prey as well.

It's an amazing game if you like those type of games. I've been playing games on PC for quite a while now so I'm used to these types of games especially System Shock 2.

I'm looking forward to...

@moldybread

Gang Beasts has been on PC/Steam in Early Access since Aug 2014.

These developers seem to be talking about Microsoft forcing them to release a separate PC version on Windows Store as well as Xbox which they don't want to do as it's more work for them considering it's already been out on PC for the past 3 years. They don't seem to like the Windows Store platform anyway like a lot of devs and PC gamers.

How does Elite Dangerous compare to Dreadnought in any way whatsoever? Fanboys make no sense to me.

Chris Roberts isn't begging for more money at all. It's a click bait article and I guess it worked on some people above.

Haters gonna hate. Seems to be the "cool" thing to do these days. Hate every game you don't understand or want to/can't play.

You sure about that? Most PC gamers won't touch the Windows Store due to how crap it is to use and the price premium compared to PC games on steam.

It's the reason why games don't do well on Windows Store. I have 4 store fronts on PC I choose to use - Steam, Uplay, Origin and GoG Galaxy - and I won't be adding Windows Store to the list. I'm on Windows 10 as well.

I don't regard myself being in the Xbox/Windows 10 family. I'm in...

Dishonored 1 was a great game with amazing optimisation on PC Dishonored 2 not so much.

Developers are only as good as their last game. Arkane are amazing level designers but with Dishonored 2 they were abysmal when it came to performance.

3187d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

It's a 50/50 chance it will be a piss poor optimised game at launch considering the state of Dishonored 2 even now after 3 patches.

It's a different engine but the same developer and publisher as Dishonored 2.

All we can do is wait and hope it's a great game on PC as there's no demo for us to try unlike the console version.

You can't get the chicken (Witcher 3) without the egg (Witcher 1). Witcher 1 is still a PC exclusive and it's where CD Projekt RED started many years ago before console gamers even knew what The Witcher was.

PC gamers made The Witcher 3 happen not console gamers by supporting CDPR and buying Witcher 1 and 2 growing CDPR into what it is today.

Both PC and console gamers are important to the whole gaming industry and neither one is dying or going an...

What do you lot care if the game is 4k or not? It's a non AAA game that isn't important. Most of you won't play it or have a 4k tv anyway so won't see the difference.

I'll just play it on my PC and have some fun while you lot keep bickering amongst yourselves about number of pixels on the screen or lack thereof.

And you say PC gamers are elitists. Hypocrisy at it's finest :)
