Funny how the PS3 is a blu-Ray Movie player, with a Potential to play games. No disscussion about games for the PS3, only blu-ray this and blu-ray that. and you should buy this becuase it is a cheap blu-ray player. It is too bad the PS3 is no longer a game console. There is a BIG difference between the PS2 and the PS3 that will affect the user base. The PS2 was a gaming machine that played great games. The PS3 is a Blu-Ray player that only has the Potential to play games.

I have never watched a DVD on my Xbox or 360 even once. I much perfer my 400 disk DVD changer. or a high quality stand alone.
Every purchase of the HDDVD drive is buying it to watch movies. how many of the PS3 buyers are buying a PS3 to watch movies. Most people i know do not even know what blu-ray is.

I was at walmart last night and was checking out the games. They had a PS3 there and it was locked up and the graphic on the screen looked terrible. I wonder what the parents think when they see that compaired to the 360 that was being played and had awsome graphics and is $200 less. Unless they want to buy potential that maybe someday it will have good games.

I totally agree, I have never done anything on my console but play games, never once have i used it as a dvd player. So when sony decided to make a blu-ray player that also has the potential to play games i lost interest in the PS3. If they had only put all that focus on making a great game machine, the PS3 would have been awsome.

The PS3 was ment to be a Blu-Ray player first. The cell was developed to run devices like blu-ray players, tv's, toasters...etc.
Playing games is secondary and not the focus of the PS3. Selling blu-ray players is. Like they said they can sell them even without any games.

when the 360 came out all the psbots said how bad the launch games were, it was xbox 1.5 ...etc.. so those same games now on the PS3 look like xbox 1.5 graphics?

"COMPONENT IS NOT HD" How is component not HD Component is in fact HD and suports 10801 and 720p. the only reason HDMI is needed for 1080P is for copyright protection. there is no difference in picture quality between component and HDMI.

you need to buy component cables... add another $50.00 to the price... Xbox includes them. Sony Fanboys always leave that part out.
