It was 18.99. Been waiting for this price, yay.

Woot, RDR Undead Nightmare for 18.99. Hard to beat that price, especially with free shipping.
Yeah, and that's the problem. There are 3 versions of the game, and the best version consistently gets left out of the discussion because all anyone seems to care about anymore in the mainstream press is fueling the 360 vs PS3 debate.
These are the same kind of people who would always credit ME2, Splinter Cell, and Left 4 Dead as xbox exclusives.
I have over 100 PS3 games and about 15 PC games. So yeah, I'm a PC fanboy alright.
Once again the mainstream gaming media ignores PC versions.
From the review:
"you still miss out on the smaller carryovers that lent the game so much flavor on 360"
"BioWare's clunky animation didn't seem too distracting on 360."
"Nevertheless, the 360 version is still the way to go."
The PC version is still the way to go imo.
I'm always reading about how Deadly Premonition has interesting characters and a good story and all that, but nothing about gameplay. Must be shite since no one ever bothers to mention it.
gameboy camera was actually a lot of fun. the printer sucked, though.
Well I have to agree that Guild Wars 2 deserves a definite spot on that list. The first GW was fun. But GW2 looks plain amazing... certainly the one MMORPG I'm looking forward to getting sucked into, and the first in more than a couple years.
I think D3 will release this year, though. I won't be stunned if it gets pushed back to 2012 but I think now that SC2 released they probably have been putting more attention into finishing Diablo.
All these games are from this gen. I was hoping for some older stuff.
Like FFIV, when you find out Golbez is Cecil's brother.
UC3 is going to be sick. However I don't see a big leap graphically from UC2 except with this last set of screens:

The fire is definitely an impressive effect, also.
I played DA:O for PS3 3 times, first time on normal and last two times on hard. A top-down view would have helped a lot for some parts but it wasn't that bad all in all.
But I agree, II looks better in every way. I also like the fresh approach to the storytelling. I'm still getting it for PS3 (even though my PC could easily handle it). I like trophies, sue me.
I'd be pissed if there was a port of SSB. As you said, a full new version is well deserving.
what about infamous 2 and resistance 3?
also motorstorm apocalypse looks awesome.
Seriously Diablo 3 at 100 is an insult to my good tastes. It should be no further from the top 10.
Disagree. No doubt the updates are a bit of a bummer when you are ready to go, but they are a one and done. 5 minutes of waiting (enough time to smoke a bowl Jack?), maybe pour yourself some applejuice and take a leak, ect. If it's making you that upset and annoyed then you have bigger problems than firmware/game updates.
My biggest problem with my PS3 is it has handshake issues with my TV which causes the screen to mess up now and again.
There's a difference between spending $5-10 and 2 hours on an average (or bad) movie than $40-60 and 10+ hours on a videogame.
So while I agree that it's stupid for gamers to outright dismiss games that average below an 85, you can't blame them for being more picky when the financial and time commitments are a lot higher than moviegoing.
Also that ghost trick score is way too low.
Sadly that's the case of most people here. Not many n4g peeps played smg2 including myself. So far too many of them doubt its greatness and don't even consider it part of the conversation.
I don't own a wii. I haven't played smg2.
But I have destroyed smg1. Its in my top 3 of this gen and better than any game that I played this year, which includes Rdr, me2, bayonetta, gow3, heavy rain, and all the other "contenders " aside from halo.
From what I've gathered, smg2 outclassed smg. Its pure gaming bliss. Say what you will about the importance of narrative and character building, but as far as pure gameplay goes, nothing th...
Agreed. Really, a 10 game list would have worked ok in years past, but for 2011 it needs to be more like a top 20. There is simply too much coming... I can barely decide what I'm looking forward to most.
