Where is Battlefield BC2? Or Borderlands? MAG? Those games are better than The Darkness and Rainbow Six. And if Dead Space can be considered, then RE5 should be in there considering the Move controls and online co-op make it awesome.
Then you have been missing out. I could recommend 50 awesome games between the GBA and DS just off the top of my head.
All you should really need to know to understand how good the 3DS library will be is to point to Nintendo's handheld track record. Each and every handheld they have created has ended up with a stellar, varied library, and out of them the DS has had the best so far (in my opinion.)

I have a DS and Wii, and a PSP and PS3. I like my PS3 more than my Wii, and I like my DS more than my PSP. But they all have a lot of great games that I've enjoye...

Most popular, loved, revered series is not GTA, not by a long shot. That honor goes to Zelda or Mario with Final Fantasy right behind.. although in the last few years Final Fantasy has lost some of its luster.

Just wait it out. LBP had some DLC bonus long before release for pre-orders. Then on release day, once that offer was null and void, bam, $20 credit. Mass Effect 3 also didn't have the $20 credit until right around release or on release day. Of course that means you won't be playing day one.

Mario Galaxy, Epic Yarn, No More Heroes, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Metroid Other M, Little Kings Story, Zack and Wiki, Paper Mario, Okami, NSMB, Donkey Kong, Punchout, Sin and Punishment, Monster Hunter Tri, MadWorld, ect... much better exclusive list imo than 360.
The worst part of this game is not being able to skip cut-scenes. There are so many of them that it makes replaying levels for completion purposes an absolute chore. This includes not being able to skip the credits after the last level.
It frustrates me to no end that my fellow PS3 brethren deny, deny, deny, when it comes to a superior version of a game on another platform.
Frankly, it doesn't really matter which version is superior, as the game is a nearly identical amazing experience no matter what platform you play it on, but cmon, facts are facts.
That said, the PS3 version of the game is certainly a wonderful package.
Yeaaaah, but just because you don't have the means to play a game on max settings doesn't disqualify it from being the best version. It makes it the least affordable version, or whatever, sure.

They aren't the same and they don't have to be equal just so that everyone is all sunshine and rainbows. Xbox was better at the start and now PS3 is better. That said, it doesn't matter that one is better than the other, if people are enjoying both then that's the bottom line.
Nintendo is probably not very nervous... other than maybe for the impending "3D fucked my eyes up" lawsuits.
