Here is the update:
Driveclub review update 1:
While I was impressed with Driveclub's smart social media-inspired challenges and team-up mechanics, all of these elements have one major requirement: functioning online support. While online servers worked flawlessly with the lighter load prior to launch, they have more or less ceased to function in the disastrous week since the game launched.
According to developer Evolution Studios, the server...
That is sad, I sold NBA2k14 for that reason... All I play is MyCareer, so I got rid of the game because I could not play it... So far, knock on wood, I have had no problems with NBA2k15... I hope my luck holds out.
That cow is going to have some sore teets.
I have NBA2k15 and I have to agree with the review. I got rid of NBA2k14 in December last year because it was mostly unplayable because of the servers.
If you can't play the game, no matter how great it is, it should be down-rated.
Right now, I have not had any server issue with NBA2k15, but I have only gotten to play two games of MyPlayer. I will just keep my fingers crossed that the servers don't ruin the game like it did for '14.
That had to be one of the most intelligent interviews I have ever heard. You all did an amazing job. Thank you!
That is a good thing... have they said how long after launch? I know developers have to cut off development at some point in order to get discs made, but they can continue working on the game for updates, so I was just wondering if a time line has been established.
"Devs aiming for parity? "
Before today's news about Ubisoft, I would have disagreed. But, now I have to wonder everytime the Xbox and PS4 have the same pixels and framerate.
For some reason I thought the weather was only missing on the PS+ version... so, the highly touted and reported upon dynamic weather is coming later?
As far as the poll question, I was going to let the reviews decide for me which B-ball game to get, but with the release date of LIVE getting moved out, I decided just to get 2K.
If, somehow, Live gets rave reviews, I will buy it, but as of right now, 2K has already been purchased for digital download...
Yep, I was waiting to see a video like this one... game is pre-loaded, and ready for the release date.
Ahh, good, finally got to the part of the countdown that really counts:
1 98 LeBron James SF CLE
2 95 Kevin Durant SF OKC
3 91 Chris Paul PG LAC
4 90 Tim Duncan PF SA
5 89 Carmelo Anthony SF NY
6 89 Kobe Bryant SG LAL
7 89 Kevin Love PF CLE
8 89 Paul George SF IND
9 ...
I don't know about that, real guns run a large range... like .22 rim fire to .45 Hollow Point, that is a pretty extreme degree.
Already pre-purchased Forza. Not a multiplayer gamer, so I don't think The Crew would work out for me. I will get to play Drive Club on my son-in-laws PS4. Don't like F1 racing (like to swap paint) and Project Cars looks very very interesting, but will wait to see what others think of it.
Starting NOV 6, you can enter online and not eat at Taco Bell... check the official rules for more details.
Everything sounds great! I mostly play MyCareer. Love knowning Doc Rivers will be the coach.
Chariot! Oh boy. That is one of the games I have been eyeing... a nice 'couch co-op' that I may be able to convince my loving wife to try out. Now, I will get it for FREE!... Well, not free, as part of the money paid yearly for Gold status.
Maybe I will get lucky and that spaceship co-op indie game will be free when it comes out... forgot the name, but I will know it when I see it.
Well, with "gaming with friends" a major part of this generation, I don't see Xbox selling very well in the future in Europe.
If I were looking to purchase a system, I would first look to see which one I would be able to game with my friends with. The PS4 lead there will continue to snowball as people in the market for a new system will continue to buy the one their friends have...
The new story should be interesting... Undrafted free agent trying to get short contracts for the first season. You have to play good every game or you don't just sit on the bench, you sit on the couch at home.
I like the idea, lets see how it plays out... I hope better than the Ellis story played out.
...Why do I feel this is the beginning of the end for gaming consoles? Five years from now, I don't see a PS5 being released, but a streaming device for game play.
I hope I am wrong.
I agree. When "always online" was first announed by Microsoft, I thought, "OK, I don't see the big deal" but now I understand. Both Sony and Microsoft and EA and 2K and everyone else who makes the users utilize servers for their games should at least make sure the damn things work.
...so, now I see what everyone was worried about a year ago as we are living it.
