...So, this or the 4 Shot by Polk?
Now last week's XBO win makes sense to me. There just wasn't enough PS4s in the market place for Sony to outsell Microsoft. The PS4 increase is not because of a specific game, so it seems to me like it is a result of pent up demand.
Yeah, looks interesting. Looking forward to finding out more about it.
@Tripe_Down... I am sure it will not be an XBO exclusive. It was confirmed for the PS3, so I am sure it will come to the PS4 also.
That is somewhat how I feel... none of the six really excite me.
Spoiler - I thought the ending was great and thought provoking. Joel saved Ellie's life but sacrificed the world, would you have done the same. Reminded me of Spock saying things like the lives of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
I will admit, the gameplay itself was average. Also, Ellie's gratuitous cursing seemed out of place to me. But the story of "I really don't like you to I really don't seem how I could go one without you" for both ...
Digital Download on XBO, Microsoft refunded after I called and told them the game was unplayable.
re: "With that said, after release 2K Sports saw an incredible amount of backlash for its use of microtransactions and its dependent online systems."
Yep, ruined the game and made it unplayable. Luckly I was given a refund.
Well, I don't have a PC that is capable of game play... I will buy for this gen when the price drops (unless I am getting into another game at the time like maybe WatchDogs).
Oh, so the app isn't even working now... That reminds me, like I said, I didn't buy NBA 2k13 because I was still trying to reach the Hall of Fame in NBA 2k12, so I continued to play... with VC the way it is I am sure the APP will not provide bonus VC once NBA 2k15 comes out, meaning I wouldn't be able to play the game for two years and actually earn enough VC to make it worth while.
I played 2k12 for the past two years, loved the game. I purchased 2K14 and hated it because of the VC (and server issues). I spent countless hours with 2k12, got my money back for 2k14, and I guess my basketball days are over as long as I am asked to pay "$60 as an entry fee" to play the game.
Sure, I can download the app and get extra VC, hundreds and thousands per day... but I shouldn't have to, I should be able to earn those points in game, playing the gam...
Wow... was not trying to "make a point", just thought it was interesting that XBO outsold PS4 in the Week ending 01/11/2014. Not sure why I got so many disagrees.
I know the gap will grow, M$ is getting killed in Europe and I know Japan will favor Sony by a vast amount.
I just think it weird how in the US things are much closer than in the rest of the world.
hmmm... USA only numbers are quite shocking:
XOne 69,025 (-30%) 2,011,713
PS4 67,868 (-22%) 2,140,510
I asked Microsoft for a refund for this game, I bought a digital copy of the game. Told them the game was unplayable... They refunded my money. I hope NBA2k15 doesn't have all these problems.
Well, four issues...
Party Chat - yes, it is broken.
Auto Record - I turned off GameDVR, so it doesn't auto record, but I can't say "Xbox record that" either.
Recharge Kits - I have used rechargable AA batteries for years. I prefer this because if my controller runs out of juice, I just pop in another set of batteries instead of having to plug in.
Battery Life Indicator - Why did this go away? That was a stupid omission and it need...
It is not JUST EA. I got a refund for NBA 2k14 because of two issues 1) couldn't play a single player game because of server issues and 2) VC, their virtual currency system. You just simply couldn't earn enough in game to update your player. You would never earn enough to play all of the modes without buying more or using their app to get free VC or waiting to see if they gift more through locker codes.
It took the enjoyment of the game and murdered it cruelly. ...
Seems like the games the article is talking about are designed to be online multiplayer... meaning I probably will not be buying them anyway. However, I hate NBA 2k14 because my solo games are tied to the frikin' internet. I guess it depends on the game.
If/when games like Fallout 4 and Red Dead 2 come out, which have been traditionally single player, they better not have online DRM and an "always connected" requirement.
Looks like I will have to get a PS4...
...if they can get the server up long enough to play!
I got so frustrated, I asked Microsoft for a refund to my digital download... they said, "not a problem" and refunded the purchase price.
...hmmmm, slow day... Lets write down what everyone knows already about Watch Dogs and post it as a "preview".
