...so, you think there are 3million game systems sitting on store shelves out there? Almost half of what has "sold"? Seems a little high that about six months’ worth of product is just sitting there gathering dust with today's propensity for Just In Time Delivery.
It does see strange that only about 3.6% of XBO owners purchased Sunset Overdrive after all the hype and great reviews...
I didn't get it, just not my style of game as a casual player... don't have time to build up skills needed to be good at the game.
Yeah, it is hard for me to find it funny when gamers support a product only to have it turn to crap.
What is sad is this is not new to the industry... I do know my propensity to preorder a game has declined.
From IGN: PlayStation 4 Version
Out of the box, the PS4 version of Unity has some significant framerate issues, but after the 900MB day-one patch and the PS4 2.02 firmware, it ran pretty much on par with its Xbox One counterpart. Apart from some minor hiccups in large crowds and certain Synchronization points, there weren’t any annoying performance issues. Load times and multiplayer matchmaking also ran the same across both platforms.
From article: "The big question is, why does Assassin’s Creed Unity run better on the Xbox One? We know that the Xbox One has slightly more CPU power available — and that Ubisoft has previously said that Unity is CPU-bound, due to the general complexity of the game and the number of NPCs requiring AI. This doesn’t fully explain why the Xbox One beats out the PS4 in rooftop sequences, though..."
GOTY? I hope not, no "remaster" or "re-release" should get Game of the Year.
You still have to install physical discs to the hard drive, so you are not saving space by not going digital.
Yes, please.

"Here are five titles we fear will fail to meet publisher expectations this year."
"While Advanced Warfare will no doubt shift more copies than 99% of other games this year, the COD series is showing serious signs of decline. With pre-orders down, a heavily fractured market and increasingly desperate moves on Activision’s part (that 24 hour early access edition says it all) the series will likely continue its fall from the throne."
...ahhh, a veiled add for a Kickstarter campaign... Still, it looks and sounds interesting.
When I couldn't play NBA2k14 over the Christmas holiday, I contacted Xbox Support. Told them the game did not work. Was told there is a refund policy that you can, with good reason, receive a refund for one game a year.
I like Harmonix
Yep, I have EA Access... I play Madden 25, not interested in playing Madden 15... But, then again, I usually play older games.
@Harold_Finch...
Yeah, buy you non-yanks can't spell color right :)
OK, I will play:
X1-
Quantum Break
Tomb Raider
PS4-
No Man's Sky
...damn, maybe I am not a gamer afterall.
My opinion only... but I don't think Microsoft was ready to release a new Xbox, they rushed it when they got wind of Sony getting ready to realse the PS4. It just makes no sense that Microsoft was getting ready to release Direct X 12 in 2015, but instead of waiting for that release date for the xbox, they jumped the gun and released it in 2013.
I guess they were afraid of the lead Sony would get... but by releasing their system too early, Sony got the lead anyway.
Yep, Nintendo figured out that people would rebuy Mario games for a new system and now everyone "reissues" older games.
Even more words... Physicial discs have to be installed to the hard drive, you don't save hard drive space by buying physical discs.
NICE. It is always wonderful for a developer to send a "thank you" to those who purchased their game...
... At one point, Sony had twice Microsoft's sales, I wouldn't be surprised if it was still two to one with 20m shipped... but, that is just an unfounded speculation on my part.
I wouldn't say the "sales race is over" considering how Sony closed the last gen gap and won the race over the 360. It might happen that Microsoft does the same over the next five years or so.
