"Blu-ray is necessary"
Not for me since I am doing my best to go "all digital" this time around.
The part about Watchdogs I thought interesting, if you invade someone else's game you have to act like the dumb AI to get away with it...
Poor Rare... used to be one of the top developers, now it seems all they do is try and provide relevance to the Kinect.
..so, no new info... Sure wish this was coming out for consoles. My laptop is old and I have problems running games on it.
It is good to know that the game can be played solo... I am mostly a soloist myself as I don't have time to commit to playing on-line. So, I game when I can.
"“Sony actually approached us about putting the game on their platforms, so obviously they’ve been super co-operative and accommodating. Shahid [Ahmad] over at Sony is doing some great work getting indies involved, and it’s something we’re really happy to be a part of.”
As for why the game isn’t coming to the Xbox One, Raze said, “While there are no current plans for an Xbox One version of Starbound, it’s not something we’ve ruled out.”
"
Lo...
I borrowed Ryse, thinking I wouldn't like it because of all of the reviews... but I found the game quite enjoyable to play and well worth the time and effort to play. I still don't own it, but if it ever gets priced at say $20 I will be very happy to buy it to playthrough again.
" Kinect can sense the controller via IR fairly well. "
That is true. In Dead Rising, the Kinect knew if you were shaking the controller... In Tomb Raider, you could lean side to side to change camera angle. Forza could use a lean motion also, but I don't remember any difference with it turned on or off, so I am not sure what it was supposed to do.
I don't see how anyone can claim the full capabilities are being utilized this early in a system's life cycle. Bigger and better things are coming as programers learn the new system and are more able to use the resources and push the system. I doubt anyone knows the "full capabilities" of either system yet.
Yeah, there are a LOT of 360 converts that need to play this game.
Yeah, it is worth playing through. It is not the best game I have played, but I found it enjoyable enough. I really didn't think the graphic were that great, I thought the remake of Tomb Raider looked better. Still, now I know how Peter Petrelli must have felt like, since the entire experience felt like it could have been his storyline from the show.
...and they have to make enough money to cover expenses until their next release, so I am not surprised if they want to squeeze every penny out of it.
"it's never too late to do a 180 " No company in their right mind would do that :)
Weird... I see the "We were wrong and we saw the light rhetoric" as admitting they were wrong whereas you don't seem to see it the same way. Maybe I am just reading too much into what is being said...
I will not post a pic, but I am buying Kinect Sports Rivals... Grand-kids are gonna love it. I also enjoy the Fitness app that uses the Kinect.
...but, I do agree that the last couple of E3s for MS have been either flat or disastrous. Thus, I am not excited about E3 at all. Only casually curious at what games are planned for the coming year, so I can start thinking about which ones I plan to purchase.
That is my fear also.
This game sounds more and more intriguing every day. Looking forward to giving it a test drive though GameFly before I buy.
Yeah, both MS and SONY installed small hard drives. I am sure MS did it so they can build an add-on later, afterall, that is smart business even if it is bad for the gamer.
Crap! I thought it was bad paying full retail price for a non-physical game, but paying more? No way.
Bought it at launch, but haven't had time to even turn on the XBO yet... too much going on in my life right now.
