@Edmix
Good points all around. Like I said it's just a question up in the air and there's plenty of time for things to change and new lines I'm sure. I'm just hoping Cloud doesn't go out of his way to put down AVALANCHE, which could get pretty obvious and annoying. It seems it could go both ways pretty much at this point, and TBH, I think a little of both will happen. Like I said, Cloud will probably say something apolitical when it gets to the gritty eco-terro...
There's a difference between saying "I'm just here for the job" and saying "I don't care about your politics".
Both are just there for being a mercenary, however the other line could be seen as joking their politics at the same time. I just don't want to hear Cloud complain about politics the entire time. The other lines like "I don't care, I just want to finish this job before the robogaurds get here", and "I'm jus...
Well I kinda interpreted it as so. The trailer had all new lines and 100% of Cloud's lines seemed like they were putting down AVALANCHE's politics. The lines were pretty direct: "I don't care about your politics", and "Not interested" when talking to Wedge about AVALANCHE's politics. Seems like Nomura might be trying to weaken the game's politics for a kiddie audience.
We'll see in the next few trailers. Hoping there's anot...
I think my biggest question is whether or not the politics are all still there. Cloud was never into politics, but now he's kinda put down AVALANCHE in the new trailer, which has all new lines.
It's very possible that Nomura would dumb this down for a kiddie audience, as the politics are kinda hyperbolic, but I'm just not hoping so. Politics shouldn't be dumbed down, infact would be the best place to expand on, with backstory on Biggs, Wedge, Jessie, and eve...
Disturbed are trashy and overrated. From what many say, the song was completely autotune. Should have went with the original by Simon and Garfunkel. Now, that aside, decent trailer.
It was probably a development struggle, as well as a toss up between character switching, and mosh-style team mechanics. They went with the teamplay, because it made more sense for this game, and because Noctis is a bit OP in this game comparatively. He has Armiger after all. All around it just made more sense to make Noctis the controllable character. Gladiolus is slower for example, and Prompto would require a 1st or 3rd person shooter mechanic, which would have been a ton of work. Bar...
Ew no. Rogue One looks trashy and overacted with lame dialogue to the point it looks pretentious. Based on the trailer I wouldn't want anything from that movie to cross over into any other media format.
It really makes no difference to me what gen it is. As an 8th gen console it's fine, but even as a 9th gen console- as long as it's hitting 1080p60 for Nintendo games, that's fine with me too. As long as their first parties are hitting 1080p60, I can see keeping my NX around until X3/PS6 gen.
I can totally see a PS4k being 30-50% more powerful for 900p games to be updated to 1080p, and for VR, 90 fps. Add in 4k streaming, and throw it in a slim package, and you've got a worthwhile update. One more powerful that will use less power while being graphically advanced for the few 900p games that need to be 1080p, and for VR.
I'm all for it. The amount of games that will take advantage of such an update isn't high enough to split gamers. It sure as hell ...
Pause menu has 1080p and some AA I think. Really nice looking. I hope they patch this game for PS4k and Xbox NeXt.
Tabata and Sakaguchi from what I can tell, are alot alike. I'd like to see them work together on a title sometime. Perhaps FFXVI? Nomura/Kitase will be tied up with FFVIIR.
PS4.5 is not going to be 4k. Hell, even PS5 will not be 4k. AMD stated that nex-gen chips will be 5x as powerful and ready in 2018. If they went 4k, there would be almost no room for graphical improvement. PS4.5 and PS5 will be aiming at 1080p60 across the board.
Now, a PS4.5 with 30-50% more power to increase 900p games to 1080p, increase fps to 60, or 90 for VR, depending on the game and how devs want to patch it, makes perfect sense. There are quite a few games at 900...
I think alot of gamers are overreacting- The new console would likely just be higher resolution and framerates for VR. Why? For one, VR needs 90fps. For two, there are still lots of games not even hitting 1080p, Paragon, FFXV, Battlefront, Battlefield, etc. The new console will just ensure 1080p, more 60 fps games, or 90fps for VR, depending on how devs want to patch their games.
Will this turn into a trend? Likely not. Nex-gen, AMD said consoles will be 5x as powerful...
With everything they've thrown at the game I'm suprised Armiger is still crappily implemented. They finally gave Armiger it's own gauge, but they need the gauge to go down per attack, NOT set for 10-15 seconds where you just spam the move until the gauge is gone.
The gauge needs to go down per attack instead, so you can use it strategically during the battle. That would make the game more on par with Nomura's FFXV from 2013 also.
@Irishguy
I just saw that. Yeah Armiger has it's own gauge finally, but still isn't meant to be implemented over the entire battle, instead of draining slowly due to USAGE, it drains over time and is meant to be spent all at once.
What I want to see is Armiger gauge deplete per attack, meaning you can strategically use it throughout the battle, rather than over 10-15 seconds where you're just spamming it before time runs out.
Actually I think the combat is pretty changed up from KH. Whether or not that's a good thing is yet to be seen. Nobody's seen how magic works for instance, and the new selling point; the team play mosh mechanics, have only very been seen very slightly in Duscae. I didn't like 'Link Form' but thought the other mechanics were pretty cool.
I also thought it would be cooler if Armiger had it's own gauge and you could use the moves during battle at any t...
It's absolutely not going to be native 4k gaming.
I can totally see a slim model with 30-50% more power to increase 900p games to 1080p and for VR, 90 fps, along with 4k media playback. Keep the price at $400 and do some decent trade-ins and I'm all for it.
That's totally possible, and casual gamers would be buying the old models from Gamestop not even knowing the difference.
I absolutely know FF has been known for it's over the top graphics, I just don't see the point in the movie so far. It seems really b-list sci-fi with it's only selling points being materialistic crap and graphics.
Moreso than graphics, and movies, FF has been known for story. And I really have no faith in FF movies with FF: TSE, FFVII: AC, and the trailer for KG: FFXV.
I'll keep an eye out for KG: FFXV, but I'm definitely not buying it,...
I'm an FF fan and the demo/aliasing convinced me not to buy it. I'll just pirate on PC. Doesn't look worth my money.
IMO they could have gone 1080p/AA from the start, and just reduced openworld aspects/graphics to match, and would have turned out better. Just my opinion.
Also I think KG:FFXV was overly materialistic and had a b-list sci-fi feel to it. Almost narcissistic how shallow it seemed. Just a 3rd in a series of failure movies by Squar...
I think they need to go with 30-50% more power for 900p games to get patched to 1080p, or for VR games to get 90 fps. Add in 4k upscaler, 4k streaming, and SATA III, and you've got a PS4k. I'd buy one.
