I'm going to say what I said in the other thread. I'm down to buy a PS4.5. HOWEVER, I don't want to see this become a trend. We don't need a new console update every 3 years, and I don't want to see a PS5.5. The only reason I'm open to buying PS4.5 is because there are a good amount of games not hitting 1080p, 60 fps when needed. AMD has stated nex-gen will be 5x as powerful and ready in 2018. 5x the power is FINE for 1080p60, and if a dev chooses to go 1080p30, ...
Honestly they said Nex-gen will be 5x as powerful and ready in 2018, so I highly doubt it's a PS5 chip this early. I'd kinda rather see them do PS5 in 2017 than PS4 Neo in 2016 though. The node switch isn't going to be any different to the tech will be the same whether PS5 is released in 2017 or 2018. It just makes more sense to release a PS5 a year early and just charge an extra $100 or so, than to do a halfstep PS4.5 in 2016 only two years off from nexgen, when they could just...
Definitely. Uncharted's water looks very plasticy and Rare's water really is out of this world. Being someone who's playing PS4 primarily this gen, I hope FFVIIR's water looks like this.
Sorry, I want a PS4.5 but I find this article's reasoning to be retarded. To EXTEND console generations with incremental upgrades? Sorry lol no. We want shorter console gens moving forward, so we get FULL upgrades. I'm down with buying PS4.5 but lets not take it too far and make this a habit like updating phones every year. No PS5.5, please just no. Instead, shorten the console generation to 5 years next time around and just upgrade when they have a meaningful node switch. <...
Welly, that's what I'm saying, I know it's only a slight upgrade, but I'm buying it for the few games that will make use of such an upgrade. Those few games are all I plan on playing this gen.
VR at up to 1080p90, 1080p 60 for all games, hell, 1080p for all games. It's just an optional upgrade. If you're fine with your current PS4 there's no reason to upgrade. I for one plan on playing FFXV at 1080p, FFVIIR at decent framerate, Battlefront at 1080p60, and Battlefield 5 at 1080p60.
These are just a few exceptions as games that run under 1080p or below 30fps on the current model... That's sadly, all I plan on playing, so I'll be buying the n...
I don't mind as long as this doesn't become a habit. They can release PS4.5 to hit 1080p in all games, and the gen will go until 2018-2019. But they can't do this again nex-gen. Nex-gen according to AMD is 5x as powerful and ready in 2018. Meaning Nex-gen will have all the power it needs to be 1080p60 from the start. They'll have no excuse for a 3 year console. Instead, just shorten nex-gen to 5 years.
Nobody except casuals think it's a 4k machine, I just want a 1080p60 machine, or atleast one that'll play all the 900p games at 1080p.
They need to do a 1080p60 console, or atleast a console that can play all the 900p games at 1080p.
I'm stoked to buy NX and PS4k this winter. Ready to play Mario games at 1080p60, FFVIIR at 1080p 30-locked, FFXV at 1080p 30-locked, and Battlefront at 1080p60.
Nobody aside from casuals think it'll be a 4k console. Hell, even Gen 9 won't have 4k gaming. Now 1080p60 consoles with 4k streaming make sense. I hope they also add SATA III for SSD users.
Eh. Rather play at 30fps anyway. The cinematic effects like camera shaking while running and perspective just seem off at 60. I would set the machine to 1080i but Xbox has no 1080i option(max 30fps). So I'll probably just stick with PS4.
If it's a 1080p60 machine I hope there's an option for 60fps. I don't really like any games aside from fps/racing sims to be 60 fps, so I would leave them at 30. I don't really like to play games sub 30fps though.
Just saw some 60fps footage and this is a no-go for me. Gears' cinematic effect doesn't look good at 60fps and really isn't needed because of it's strategic stop-and-pop action. This isn't a twitch shooter and the benefits don't outweigh the consequences IMO. Also the LoD doesn't seem good enough for 60fps, and makes it easier to see imperfections. All in all, I think they should have gone 30 fps and threw graphics to the max. 60 made the cinematic effects giv...
Betting it's a new $399 slim console with 30-50% more power for 900p titles to increase to 1080p or for VR to achieve higher framerate. Add 4k Bluray in the slim form factor and voila.
All of the characters except Kate seem like hipster knockoffs of Gears characters. The Swarm looks nowhere near as badass as the Locust. All of the levels shown so far have crappy level design and are construction gigs. The graphics are 360-level. Then this message. They didn't try.
Yeah, they are staying to their roots with 360 level graphics and gameplay. They're even dumbing down level design to make sure it's definitively, last-gen. Every level so far has been some sort of construction gig... They're keeping the areas contained to a few designs to make sure there's no variety and it'll be easier to define, as definitively last-gen. And getting Disturbed to do a cover not as good as the original is their aim. This game can't be better than...
slavish is right- they'd only increase power for res/fps and make every game required to work on both consoles. Alienating their current installbase is game over.
Also, nex-gen I'll bet anything every game is 1080p. I don't even care for 60 fps for many games though.
Hoping that's the case which is a huge possibility also. It's just tough to gauge Nomura because he drops hardly any information. Some have interpreted it as sort of a meta-message, while other's are afraid that it's political edge is weakened for maximum audience. It could actually be both though. Politics might be bigger, and smaller at the same time, depending on where they're at- for instance- the bombing mission is a gritty eco-terrorist moment, and Cloud said som...
What the hell are you on about? Legendary is an adjective or sometimes noun, and is used to describe the noun, the composer.
