Well , since I started gaming since the 2600 and the C-64. I can actually say that gaming has and will always change. This isn't a new concept and one of the reasons I love to play games.
I have bought all Total Warfare games. I was planning on skipping this one. But it seems I got to con some friends into buying this one, se can do the multiplayer.

I agree with part of your post. And that is lack of knowledge with PCs. I do computer repair job on the side and make a lot of money doing so. And most of the problems are very elementary, like how to get a laptop on the internet. Dell was charging a woman I know $120.00 to get a laptop to the internet. They had DSL and a router, the only problem was Dell was backed up for Xmas and they asked me if I knew how, easy $120.00.

I downloaded a nude mod for Oblivion, removed it 5 minutes later. I see no point in a nude mod, I wouldn’t mind for a nude part in the sex scene, but that is about it. Instead of making characters nude, put the talent to making armor/weapons/etc.
Not a game breaker for me. Just got to save up for 4 copies.
I see the console command problem like this:
A cheater (lowest pond scum, right below a pirate), will find every way in the world to cheat. It is never to win, it is to enjoy giving others grief. They usually are psychotic and have a very small penis. But they will do it with or without a console command. However moderators do need this to kick or ban an IP when they catch a cheater. The only way I know to ban them is the dev console. Now if there is another way to ban said cheat...
I agree, if Impulse had the catalog of games that Steam has, I wouldn’t buy from Steam anymore. When the Christmas sales were going on, EA had a great deal on their games. In fine print they stated that I had 30 days to download the game (and I can’t download them again). I was shocked and will never buy any games from their service again. I like to share the wealth as long as the prices are close to each other. I buy from D2D, Impulse and Steam, so I will take turns for their services.

I thought the mind controller on Newegg was neat. But at $150.00 it wasn’t cheap enough to experiment with, hell that’s a good video card.
Done this myself years ago, it works. But don't count on it to keep on working. When I froze the hard drive it worked twice, then it went dead. It is only a last resort to get your information off before permanent death.
I will say this again for the thousandth time. Eventually there will have to be one standard. Microsoft, Sony, Apple and Nintendo will have to bite the bullet. Sega was the smart one by getting out of the console business. Sony went from 1st place to dead last in the console market because of their system cost when first launched. I don’t mind a little T&A in my games, as long as it goes with the story. I do mind graphic sex in my games and movies. The ONLY reason why is because it takes away from the main part of the game/story/etc. If I want to watch porn, i’ll go watch some porn on a good site.
However parents are the only ones that can decide for their own kids. I think nudity and whatever else should be allowed.

What a crock of S%^T! But oh well, I am still not buying it.
The only thing that really pisses me off about the Steam deals is this: They could have warned us that they would have these deals, before we spent our monies on other items prior to the sale. I know that they can’t because people would just wait, but good deals anyway.
