You might be right, you can never tell with Blizzard. If their making money and every one is happy, it will be awhile before the price drops. But if they are money hungry then the price will drop pretty quickly. But I can wait for 2-3 years, hell I waited this long for it. Diablo 3 however will get me right square in the pocket book, still play Diablo 2 every once in awhile.
Who gives a shit how they done it. Wait for a month and let the reviews come in. If there is a good consensus on the reviews (like here http://www.vgreleases.com/p... then buy it. Just don’t get caught up in the hype to be the first.
Hell I might wait until the Star Craft 2 3-pack plus DLC Game of the Year edition comes out before I buy it. I’ll save a ton……………
I have to admit that UO was an awesome game. When a Pker would come around, my heart started jumping, because I was an anti-pker and had to fight them (Alantica server). EQ was also awesome because there is no game that had the adventure that this game had. But so far, the only games that have my attention are Champions online and Star Trek, and that will only last until I played through the game once. What MMOs genre needs is the Vanguard open world, no instances, huge dungeons, open PvP wit...
I have to disagree with Bobby, I think the Call of Duty series are good, but not epic. Harry Potter books/movies are more epic, so is that Twilight series (never watched them).
No, I don’t buy new games any more. Why should we, they drop in price usually quickly. Most of the time they have bugs and by the time those bugs are squashed, the price has dropped. I can wait for Starcraft 2 to drop, even if it is a year from now.
On my must buy list, can't wait.
Hate to break your heart, but yes it will be true, not now, but in years to come.
If you think it won’t, you’re living in a dream world. WHY? Because it ends pirates of all media, games, movies, music, etc.
Also broadband connections are reaching further and further out and getting faster.
Progress? Depends on which side of the fence you are on. And since they make the product and we buy it, I would say yes to that also.
If you want a shooter that is quick into the action and constant action, this is not the game for you.
However if you wanted to have a realistic game, that has just about all types of military vehicles and small arms. Where the action can happen when the shit hits the fan, then you will like this game. The enemy AI is far superior to any game I have ever played. And I don’t say that lightly, even on recruit (beginner level) the game will frustrate the most season FPS player. ...
If the console boys want it, that’s ok. But make it for the PC first, and then port it over.
The game is good. If you like a sandbox game like Eve, you will enjoy this game. However if you are a theme park type of gamer, then you will not, unless you get into a good group/guild. This game is very player driven.
I disagree. I just recently returned to play and I am having a ball. There is a ton more content and in different types of areas. City of Heroes looked the same and was repetitive in the mission area. There only way COH is superior is the player made missions.
They are pulling a SOE with EQ2, which is not a good thing. When EQ2 first released it had ungodly system specs, then WoW released a week later, well we all know how that turned out. However if I want to play that game with all the bells and whistles then I will upgrade, but my system specs currently are very close to the recommended.
PC pirating is a simple problem with a simple solution.
In my opinion there are different type’s of pirates.
Unsure Pirates- these pirates want to be 100% sure if the game is worth the cash. If the game is awesome, then they will buy it.
Pissed off Pirates- these pirates are pissed at the company because that new DRM was made to be broke, AKA Spore syndrome……….
Poor Pirates- these pirates can’t afford their PC or internet con...
Good article, wonder what is going to happen next?
I buy more EA games than Activision. So IMO they are better. Does that mean Activision just plain sucks, no, because I do own some of their games, just not as many as EA. However I do feel that Bioware has pushed them to this status.
How do more platforms increase more of a choice? You need to buy all consoles, a PC and all handhelds, that isn’t a choice; you’re made to buy all of these items to play the games you desire.
If there was one platform, then you could play any game you desire. Companies could create games as a bare minimum for a set industry standard of hardware. As of right now companies lose money on the console they produce and hope to make it back through rights and games made. However if...
Oh god, I guess the PC vs Console debate will start again. There are more PC’s out in the market than all consoles combined. However not all of them can play the latest and greatest, like mine, lol. To bad we can’t get one platform that plays all of games, no matter what they are….
I don't personally have anything against Activision or Blizzard. But I don't think they will get their money back. I hope I am wrong.
Whatever they are selling, I am buying. Think I am going to have a Borderlands weekend.
Again, how many stories do we need about the same subject. Xbox users have enough users to play with, PC users are in the same boat. So there...............
