Blame the customers too. If your player is moved while a disk is spinning at high speeds in some types of players the disc can fall off the spinner.when this happens it slams against the sides of the tray wall at high speed causing a "CRACK" on the edge.
I've had this happen to me while recording media with a player. I highly doubt any disc media can survive this destructive force. In essence the crack is caused by something hitting the edge of the disc and separating t...
I'm thinking if this is true they'd make the disk have an install feature so no disk is needed.
Requiring a disk for a diskless feature isn't the best was to go especially since it's not needed.
This is the video that gives dates as early as 2001 for the motion control in games being on Sony consoles. O.o
Sorry, wanted this as separate post, I guess it's a reply to.
Yea newegg has them on sale today. for $359.
I thought patent laws worked by proof of concept.
It's clear that Sony was developing this since around 2001. If that's the case if they can prove they where first it could be a major setback for the scanning technology.
FF11 is running mostly off the SE servers. The same servers the PS2 and PC users use. The Live portion is only a portal to the FF11 servers.
FF11 servers aren't MS live servers, the actual game servers are separate from live. The live features are stacked on top the FF service. If your FF connection go's down on 360 your live connection can remain working. Likewise if your live connection drops while playing FFXI you can remain on game as long as you don't log out.

Doesn't the PS3 have a faster processor and more ram to render more frames? The thing about GFX cards is how big the frame buffer is to reduce the overhead. After all wasn't the PS2 ram only like 4 megabytes? LOL, yea I said megabytes.
One thing that I fail to understand is how are these low end PC's emulating the PS2 so well? If they can emulate games without a true GPU then what's stopping the PS3. Like you mentioned that fast ram.
Something doesn't fit well in these...
Trying to upload the PS3 slim image,
If it looks good, as a reduced price with bigger HDD, reduced heat/ power consumption and full BC PS2 for about $299 I'm buying a couple.
BTW. This is a better picture of the PS3 slim concept. (refuses to upload >.<....
If anyone had tried to use the speech recognition system in windows they'd know it's not a simple feature to use.
I tried this revolutionary speech recognition feature in windows vista and became so frustrated that I quit using it. Sure this looks good in the demos but in reality some things like speech recognition and motion controls are so limited that their learning curves are often higher then using a controller or remote.
This is why I stopped using my Wii as th...
IMHO, it's not empowering the customers. It's controlling what advertisements we view.
Like I mentioned earlier, this monster is a bad service to the free market. It literally puts money in the pocketbooks of big corporations and severely limits the ability for smaller people to survive on the web.
Don't think for one second that if your interest is gaming, this BING service will direct you to products that compete with their interest. It's just not logical for compa...
The part about being sued.
Contracts don't normally last forever. In any case if the NetFlix deal wasn't worded correctly then it would've been a violation to start with.
An example would be that streaming deal would've been limited to PC's. If Netflix made the deal with MS it would've been a direct breach of contract because the 360 is considered a gaming console and not a PC.
I don't think the negotiators considered this though when writing this deal...
In my views this has nothing to do with console wars. In a grand scale think about this closely. What if one or 2 big firms controlled all the advertising by limiting what devices could view content.
What if Sony or Microsoft controlled every advertisement released. If Sony controlled 90% of the medias advertising power by limiting access and the ability for MS to advertise on TV etc don't you think that would hurt MS. Now think if the same was true for MS.
If a free...
If this is true it's gotta be one of the worst concepts ever. The reason people make adds is so audiences see them. In any case as an advertiser you'll want your add to be seen by as many people as possible.
If they're using a service on a PC for potential viewers that's great. The problem I'm seeing here is if this is true their literally removing support for advertisers by blockading a portion of the potential audience.
If I was an advertiser I'd be pissed to find ...
If they can create a balance between motion control and standard control without taking away to much then it should work well. If they go all motion control (without a controller or buttons) I believe it'll fail.
Seriously, playing games without feedback irritates me. A complete gesture system would annoy me till I gave up. If the controller allowed motion control for things like swinging swords shooting guns, menu access etc without sacrificing the ability to play without motion...
Yea, these controllers seem to be nice but if they neglect a thumb analog/digital stick on the wands it'll make the product less functional.
In oblivion you still need to jump, walk forward, backward, left, right etc. These wands will need more triggers etc to satisfy functionality compatible to a 6 axis. Sure you can swing your sword use walking motions etc but, not everyone wants to play games standing up or running in place.
Basically, like the presenter at E3 sai...
I was able to download multiple movies in the background while playing cross edge.
Maybe some games restrict background downloading, I for 1 am 100% it was downloading while I was playing this game. I was downloading the E3 1gb + press conformance on DSL. While playing the game the network activity went crazy. After about 3 hours of playing cross edge I quit the game and got multiple messages.
E3 part 1 completed
part 2 completed. Etc etc.
It does...
If you look at several MMORPG's and perhaps Xbox Live vs PSN. A lot of people are still willing to pay extra for services instead of going to the free alternatives.
I don't know if this is in the same category but, if the service is worthwhile some people are willing to pay for it even if there are free versions.
If they're like me, they'll not be a one trick pony and utilize both the pay and free services for the best experience possible.
In the future a new browsers will spring up that are torrent based. If you visit high bandwidth sites using these NEW browsers some of the bandwidth can be offset by allowing data to be uploaded while being downloaded to multiple parties. It would reduce the cost to operate a site significantly. The more popular your site the more bandwidth could be offset.
Lets say you go to Youtube or Hulu or netflix to watch a movie. While your watching it You could be downloading it from mult...
People where complaining about RMT this RMT that, Gil seller, gill buyer so SE made the STF. Not surprisingly it was very effective at cleaning house but now that it's cleaned up a lot of loopholes they continue to BAN and look for new things that could be used to make profits.
At some point they need to tack off. For starters they should be doing something about the spam tells from www.brogames.com. It's just sad wen things are finally to a good point where honest players can en...
