Perhaps I'm going out on a limb here but... maybe the poor sales are stemming from the fact that the Wii U is a current gen system being released at the END of the current gen cycle and that people are saving their hard earned money for an actual next-gen system? I think that has SOMETHING to do with it.
And before someone says something about the Wii being successful with older tech, the Wii was a fad. It had some GREAT games, but without that mainstream craze it had go...
That's great for Wii U gamers. Personally, I will not be purchasing a Wii U and so it disappoints me after supporting and loving DX:HR that I will not be able to play this version. It's a shame, as I feel a vast majority of the fans of DX:HR would gladly invest some more money into this great franchise to experience a much more polished and improved version if it were to release on the platforms the original did.
It also makes a difference whether or not your'e a semi-celebrity or are making a direct sequel to a game.
Let it go, man. At least SOMEONE is trying to make a realistic-thoughtful shooter.Geez.
This is a shame... really hope this can pick up some steam and come to fruition! We need a game like this on the market.
Well, you SOUND like you know a lot. The problem with GRAW wasn't Christian, it was the publisher. It's the same story with almost every franchise. Publisher's want their devs to make games 'accessible and approachable' to all ages and GRAW is no exception. Your blame is misguided.
Really hope this gets more funding... Would love to play this game!
This needs to be noticed and supported... we need more shooters like this! Thinking man's shooter.
The game is an improvement in almost every single way from past games in the series.
"WWE ’12 is turning out to be one of those “off” years for THQ."
Yeaaaah. Agree to disagree.
Yukes, the developer, wanted Jericho in the game. WWE told them not to. Apparently Jericho and WWE had a falling out.
This is an example of what MONEY and MARKETING can do when combined. I've seen maybe a handful of EyeToy commercials and no advertisements outside of TV that I can ever remember. Yet every channel, every magazine/box of cereal you see a Kinect ad. But yes, it's sad MS is getting credit for the technology when they bought it out (like most things they claim as their own). From a business standpoint, though, gotta give them credit.
First off, I have all 3 current-gen systems and although I have my own personal opinions about the hardware, at least my opinions are formed through experience and not just blind fanboyism.
This comment isn't so much about the systems, but about these fanboys.
One thing I notice reading through these comments are that fans of the 360 will be fans - NO MATTER WHAT. All you PS3 fans keep trying to convert these 360 fans (at least it seems like it) but wh...
Yeah... I did it a few weeks ago and was so impressed with how easy it was. I actually wondered how it could be easier to be honest...
Why do all games that have squads always have an arrogant annoying redneck?
The multiplayer looks promising though... I'll just wait for the final reviews.
exactly... why ask people from europe how it is when it's so easy to make a euro account and get it yourself?
... I suppose you've gotta find SOMETHING to complain about.
And just like the first comment says... I guess that's why they called it Liberty City and not New York City.
Anyone know if this guy reviewed san andreas? I wanna read that one too.
I never said they were shotty devs or that the stuff they've done wasn't great.. it's all great... it just looks bad when they don't know how to develop for a console. It doesn't bother me personally as I have a PC, 360, and a ps3... but still I prefer my PS3 over my 360 and my semi-obsolete PC that won't be upgraded for a while. I'm just saying it'd be nice. It's fine though, I'll just be playing L4D on 360 I guess.
i think it's safe to say it's not just a "well we just don't want to make ps3 games" it's basically "we don't know how to code for the ps3 so we'll just skip it." which IS embarrassing for them because the stuff they make is so good that the fact they can't code for the PS3 is... sad.
I'm confused... are we talking about which is the better OS or which OS is easiest for ignorant computer users to pick up on... or what?
Even if we're talking about ease-of-use here, I've heard from a lot of new computer users that they had a much easier time getting around and getting things to work in OS X than in Windows. Of course, it's all opinion and what-not... but even when I first got into macs about 4 years ago after only using Windows, I found it incredibly easy to get...
By God, It's NEXT-GEN. I fully expect compromises to current-gen versions of a next-gen game.
