I was a fan of calling it just "Xbox".
I always saw Xbox as (x)box in which case x=anything/everything. So the "One" to me is redundant.
I'm just glad the top article on N4G is about a GAME finally. So tired of console stuff. It's all about the games. I can't wait for SS.
How is it a giant leap? Swapping between inputs with voice commands instead of a button on a remote? It's 2013 and TV is quickly going by the waste side.
aaaand what about that is a cop out? Are you just openly admitting your fanboyism? If it doesn't come down to what franchises people want to play the most, then....?
Silly MS, they don't know what words mean.
I don't think so. I can't see a good price point for the US market with this thing. I think a lot of core gamers see through their fluff and I think the mass audience they seek isn't going to shell out hundreds of dollars for an easier way to hit the input button on their remote. I could be wrong, though.
My main point: developers don't go all out on brand new engines (and even new approaches to current franchises) until new generations start. There are exceptions, of course, but in general this is true. And it's dictated by the launch of next-gen consoles, not ever-evolving PC hardware.
You agreed with the main point I was making, then.
That's funny (read:Sad) because the new generation starts with the consoles, whether pc gamers want to believe that or not. The fact is, PC games will only be as impressive as the console version they were (likely) ported from. Yes, there can be higher resolution textures and some DX11 stuff, but at the core, they're current gen games. I say this because I know. I am a PC gamer. (Twist ending!)
I watched my friend play through the whole game with the exception of a couple hours. A 9.5 seems a bit far fetched to me.
Read title as "was excited about Watch Dogs until everyone else got excited about it, too."
I like how any time a (yet another) franchise is announced it won't be coming to Wii-U, Nintendo fans seem to dismiss it by saying "It's been x years since I've even played one of those games" as if that somehow makes it okay. You Nintendo fans do know you can buy more than one console and that just because you've committed early to Wii-U doesn't mean you have to suffer the whole next gen, right?
There are games I play for story & there are games I play for gameplay. This falls under the latter.
And I can't wait
"exploiting" ... hmm...
How about exploring the universe more? No reason they can't star wars this thing up. No need to make a current character spin-off game. Use some imagination.
You're right. Graphics aren't EVERYTHING these days. I mean I think visually, WWE games look pretty decent but I'd take No Mercy with an updated roster ANY day over any current WWE game. The gameplay was about as solid as you can get. They try so hard for simulation now but in doing so they lose focus on what makes wrestling games truly fun and enjoyable.
THIS. To me, when you buy digital you're basically just buying the right to play that game on that account. Digital should cost considerably less to make up for the fact you don't ACTUALLY own the game and the fact they're saving money on physical production.
You shouldn't be getting negatives for this in my opinion.
Watch_Dogs To Blend Singleplayer & Multiplayer Across Multiple Devices, But Can Be Played Offline --"Not possible", says EA.
the drop shadow around the title kills it. Looks like a fan-made box art. In a bad way.
