I'm going to make a bold prediction and say that Gears of War will hit the Playstation 3 once the installbase is around 8 million worldwide. Why do I say this? Because I don't see a "Microsoft Game Studios" splash screen when I boot up Gears on the 360. It screams "fairgame".

I would be at the doors of Konami and Square Enix with either a bag full of $$$ or a better exclusive deal that might pay the publishers a higher cut of the profits for these titles. Let's not kid ourselves here, this is a console war, and in the last couple of weeks since GDC, it has heated up. Those two titles ARE system sellers. LittleBigPlanet and Home are NOT at this point. We need to see some Jak IV, God of War III, Killzone 2, Socom Online (cross fingers), etc ... announcements soo...
Makes good business sense to make this title multi-platform. Dev costs are way to high to keep a title single platform. The only such exclusives are time-honored these days. DMC on the 360 is big news. You could say what you want about the game, its still one less thing Sony has when it comes to single platform exclusives. With an installbase comes A LOT of leverage in negotiations. Even if the game sells like crap in Japan, MS execs can just point to the success of Dead Rising and Lost...

I couldn't have said it better myself also deepbrown. I believe the creator of Naughty Dog is Jason Rubin. Him and Ted Price of Insomniac are two of my favorite visionaries in this industry. You know the game is going to be good if its in their hands. Can't wait to play this game!
