The PC industry needs to 'rethink'. It is too upgradeable and change is in a matter of days. What was 'top of the line' today is tomorrow's old news.

For a PSP this weekend. Why? Because I was tired of playing Nintendo games. No offense, I enjoyed the new Mario game and Metriod but that was it for me (I said for me).
Now that I have the PSP, I'm going nuts with it with PS3 connectivity via Remote Play. Its cool and all but it could be more. Still, I like the fact that they have it.

disagree or not ... I can't think of any recent Ubisoft games that have been decent on a Sony machine compared to a MS machine. This includes the PS2 and PSP. As far as I'm concerned, these ads (as weird as they might be) are doing its job. 13+ comments (and counting) for a commercial video. Sony has always have taken risks with their ads. As much as I do agree that G.O.W (is it God of War or Gears of War) is pretty, it is pretty in its own right. Its a game where the artist makes chaos and destruction a beautiful thing to behold. I do agree with some of your points, don't get hardcore gaming confused with nostalgic gaming. In fact, what the heck is hardcore gaming? If I played Gears of War for 5 hours out of the day, am I hardcore or just stupid for wasting a good day of sunshine. I think the appropriate title is 'mature' gaming. Games that cater to more than the casual audience. Games that cater to the technophiles, firt person shooting lovers, and institutionalized psycopaths (just kiddin).
1. Create a Mario Brothers first person shooter. If there is no real blood, no worries ... I'd rather see chunks of mushroom flying all over the place.

I do agree that an 82% sales drop is a large margin. No argument there. We don't know if stock was replenished after the initial launch release. Chances are, they weren't. If stock wasn't replenished than I could understand a high percentage sales drop (not enough units to sell versus launch day).
There are quite a bit of factors we don't know yet so I think its usless for us to argue about it. Its the consoles second week of release.
