If he thinks Alan Wake doesn't look good, he is blind.
Alan Wake is one of the games I am looking forward to the most.
I absolutely love the atmosphere in Alan Wake and coming from Remedy you just know that it is going to have an excellent plot.
The graphics rival most of the other top games, but Alan Wake is a huge 36 square kilometer open world game. Look how much detail the game has: http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/...
It has been a long time co...
ForrestGump, take the fanboy goggles off. Alan Wake looks really great. I downloaded and watched the E3 demo several times and the framerate looks solid. You were probably just getting stuttering do to the streaming of the video.
Anybody that tries to compare this to Alone in the Dark is a moron.
Hey, I love MGS4, but if you're honest with yourself you do have to admit that the story is a little convoluted and maybe even a little bit silly. There is no way you are going to convince me that the narrative is as well crafted as Uncharted's or Mass Effect's.
It's not like this is a new idea, lots of reviewers had similar things to say about it after it was released. Go back and read some of those reviews, some thought the story was great, but some thought it was convoluted ...
I know, I own both consoles and have done some of the same comparisons myself, and if anything I have found that Lens of Truth are a little biased towards the PS3.
A couple of different times they gave it to the PS3 for questionable reasons. Mirror's Edge and Star Wars Force Unleashed come to mind. Those two games were unquestionably better on the 360 in my opinion. Mirror's Edge had better anti-aliasing and less screen tearing on the 360 than on the PS3, but because there w...
This reduced resolution on the PS3 version of Ghostbusters is very common as well. We have seen it in lots of multiplatform games on the PS3 like Bioshock, Chronicles of Riddick, Fracture, GTA4, Dark Sector, Lord of the Rings Conquest, Silent Hill Homecoming, The Darkness, Guitar Hero 3 and many others. All of those games ran at 720p on the 360 and at sub-HD resolutions on the PS3.
When a developer can't get their game running well on the PS3 they have no choice but to reduce t...
Wow, talk about a serious reduction in detail between the 360 version and PS3 version. Look at the rug in the second picture on the 360 and then switch to the PS3 version, the detail is suddenly all blurred out. Same goes for pretty much all the texture detail.
Uncharted is a great looking game and is one of my favorites this generation, but I still stand by my opinion that graphics-wise Gears 2 looks at least as good as Uncharted.
You're a liar. I watched the same show and saw nothing like what you are describing.
I despise the people who say "who cares about these comparisons?" The answer is obvious, lot's of us own more than one console and we want to know which version of a cross platform game we should spend our money on. The only people who have a problem with these comparisons are people who only own one console.
I never doubted Lens of Truth.
Well, he's right. How the hell do you compare a game like Killzone 2 and Gears of War 2? They are so completely different. One is third person, one is first person. One is strong in textures, the other is strong in lighting.
You are talking nonsense. You can't race two exclusives like you can race a ferrarri vs lambourghini. Your analogy is absurd.
Besides, I don't think Killzone 2 looks better than Gears of War 2 anyway. They are two very good looking games...
I think the issue revolves more around the fact that PS3 fanboys are calling Lens of Truth liars or biased or incompetent, when in fact Lens of Truth are none of those things. Their comparison has been validated by other sources. Never mind the fact that they have generally done accurate comparisons in the past.
I think people are also upset that this developer seems to be misleading people.
As far as making a big deal about the game itself, I have already known f...
Well, I was going to get Uncharted 2 anyway, but I guess now I will reserve it so that I can get the demo. Uncharted 2 looks so awesome. The first Uncharted is still my favorite game on the PS3.
It doesn't matter. Dead Space doesn't look better than Gears of War 2 and the 360 version runs better than the PS3 version anyway. http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
No, that's just you. I think the guy is perfectly decent. I think PS3 fans would hate anybody in his position. That is, unless he didn't do his job and just praised the PS3 all day.
Making one of the best FPS games on consoles.
@Nervz
You obviously weren't a fan of Halo in the first place if you think Halo 3 was just a copy of Halo 2. If you were actually familiar with the games you would know that a ton of stuff was improved and added in Halo 3. The scores speak for themselves.
The guy above me is right about Halo ODST. It is truly bringing a whole new style of play to the table and is looking really good.
You're right, the box art looks great. I can't wait for this game.
I've learned to take reported PS3 lineups with a grain of salt. Most of the time they are overinflated with a bunch of games that won't see the light of day for quite a while.
I prefer Microsoft's approach of announcing games closer to their release dates so that there is still an element of surprise and gamers can be more confident that the games will actually make their release dates.
Well it goes both ways. Gamers wouldn't have anything to play if it weren't for developers.
They don't owe you anything and you don't owe them anything. They create a product and you have the choice to buy it or not.
