This game is looking really good. Future was brilliant and with this one having trophy support and more replay value it is going to be great game for this holiday period.
Both consoles are great and this is a amazing time to be a gamer. I just think many people don't notice it because they are too wrapped up in fanboyism and the stupid console wars.
Oh that's strange. Hmm...well, I guess we will have to see just how useful it turns out to be.
I love Halo. It is still one of the best shooters ever made.
I really like Bing. It does lots of cool little things that Google doesn't.
Just as it is in the videogame market, competition is good for everyone. Google has a near monopoly right now on search engines, so I think having more big players in the market is only a good thing.
Improving the graphics is obviously one thing, since despite what some people say, great graphics really help immerse you in the game and make it a richer experience. They do need to keep most of what make Halo unique, but they also need to make it a fresh experience. We already have Halo 3 and soon Halo 3 ODST, so Reach needs to bring something fresh.
The good thing about it is you can use it while you are playing a game. You can be playing a game and just push the guide button and you will be able to twitter something and then go right back to your game. I think that is pretty useful for people that like twitter or facebook.
These are nice features and what's really cool about them is that they are built right into the interface and you will be able to use some aspects of them even while you are in a game. The PS3 browser is also a really cool feature and has its own advantages.
Halo Reach is going to be epic. I can't wait to see what they do with the new engine and the new setting.
Looking really good.
I agree that owning all the consoles (or at least the 360 and PS3) is the best way to go. But unlike you I have come to love both consoles pretty much equally. The 360 is better in some ways and the PS3 is better in some ways.
I haven't played either version yet--well, I should go download both demos right now--but going off these screenshots the 360 version definitely has the edge. Mainly in the textures.
@ Murderdolls
Oh I agree with you that a lot of us that already played it might not be motivated to buy it again, I'm just saying that I have to admit that it does look a little better to me.
As for the degree of gore, well some will prefer it more gory and some will prefer it less gory.
I totally know where you are coming from, it's just that I am trying to be a little more fair these days.
What are people disagreeing with me about? That we need to stop fighting so much? Or that the PS3 version looks better?
The PS3 version does have dismemberment and blood. It just has less blood and has the purple energy/mist added.
Both versions are good, but let's be honest here guys, the PS3 got the better version this time. But stop acting like fanboys, the 360 gets plenty of better versions of games as well so it all balances out.
I'll admit, the PS3 version does look a little better to me. That's great news for PS3 owners. 360 owners be happy that you got to play it earlier.
Both consoles have their pluses and minuses and they are both great consoles to own. I am happy to own both and I am getting tired of all the fighting. We seriously need to stop bickering so much and just enjoy the games. Isn't that what being a gamer is about?
This article is a stretch. I don't think Microsoft would release another add-on for the 360 after the last add-on. Plus I think they want to push digital downloads and streaming and stuff like that. Anyway it would only be for movies and wouldn't really be able to be used for games. I do think they will put a Bluray drive in their next console.
Well it's true that PS3 owners had to choose between two games of the same type and the install base in North America is much smaller for the PS3 than the 360, so I don't think the numbers are surprising.
Just enjoy your games people. Does all this sales analysis make you happier gamers? I used to get into this fanboy crap, but it is just stupid. Both consoles are good and they are made to be enjoyed, not analyzed and fought over. I'm not trying to say I am better than anyb...
Yeah I was looking forward to this game later this year, but oh well if it makes it a better game I'm all for it. And you are right, the first part of 2010 has a ton of amazing games for the 360.
