You get what you pay for. PSN is a great service for being free, but Live really is so much better.

I love everything you get with Xbox Live. It's not just the big features, but also all the little touches that make it special. For what it gives us, I honestly don't mind paying the $40 a year.

Yeah, I know what you are saying Ape. I like hearing the little sounds that give you a heads up about what's going on. When a friend pops online on my PS3 a little box just pops up for a few seconds and is gone, but there is no sound. I like the aural feedback you get on the 360.

Xbox Live is just too good to pass up, fee or no fee.

You act like Sony made the song themselves.

You have to be joking, RememberThe357, the people making the biggest deal about this in this article are the PS3 fanboys --attacking Microsoft, saying they lack any originality (i.e. the same old song and dance).

Why did you call out NaiNaiNai and completely overlook the guy he was responding to? You know...the guy that said that Microsoft are unoriginal and are "one of the most hated companies in the world". You single out NaiNaiNai, but ignore all the ranting and ra...

All I can say is, I own both of the consoles and I could not disagree with you more. Both consoles have some top notch exclusives.

Look, I respect your opinion, but the vast majority of people disagree with you. That is why those games received such universal acclaim.

Valve might be first and foremost a PC dev, but they make games for the 360 too.

The thing is, mezzo, you are a fanboy. A PS3 fanboy. So it's going to be hard for people to believe that you are being sincere and not just guided by your fanboyism.

I have my own doubts about how Natal will be utilized for hardcore games, but I am willing to wait and see. In terms of doing what the Wii is doing, I think Natal will do it, and will do it even better.

No, I think you misread my post. I didn't say you were a PS...

That's nice. They cost less than retail and I like that I can have a library of full games on my hard drive that I can play anytime I want without having to get up and switch the disc. (Hey, I'm lazy after a hard day's work. I just want to lay there and relax.)

One big advantage I see that really interests me is that since these games are purely digital downloads you can have multiple full games on your hard drive.

When you install your games to your hard drive you still have to have the disk in the tray, which means that you still have to get up and switch disks if you want to play a different game.

I just think it will be cool to have a small library of full games at your fingertips.

It's not THAT expensive dude. I upgraded my 20GB hard drive to a 120GB hard drive for only $50 (see my post above).

$50 for 120GB isn't that bad. Besides, once you buy the game, you own it and can delete it and re-download it if you need the space for a while.

True, but I wanted to point out, to anybody that didn't know, that you can easily replace your 360 hard drive with a cheaper 120GB SATA hard drive. You open up the 360 hard drive's case and simply pop in the larger drive. They have to be formatted properly though and the process is a little tricky.

However, you can buy upgrade kits on Ebay for around $50 that have the hard drive already pre-formatted, which makes the switch-out extremely easy. Here's the link to one:

Digital downloads are going to be a significant part of our future. They won't replace physical media for quite some time, but they will become more and more common.

I like what this service offers and I know that it won't be perfect right off the bat. Market forces will sort out pricing, terms of use and other aspects over time.

Navyguy nailed it. He has a very good grasp of how it works. Sadly, it will go over the heads of many people on this site.

The gametrailers post already answered all that. Those are from an older build. The most current trailers have looked amazing.

It's looking amazing. People always jump to wrong conclusions.

In my opinion the three best new features of the update are the speed increases, the smaller game installs, and the ability to rate content in the marketplace.

All in all I am really impressed with this update. I don't know why some journalists are acting like it is disappointing that we aren't getting the Facebook, twitter and Last.fm features with this update. I was under the impression that we would see an update in the Fall with those features and I didn't even know that we ...

The article was funny and insightful (if perhaps a little tongue in cheek). I really enjoyed it.
