Well I think that the main reason why people get tired of playing video games or game fatigue is due to lack of new content. Visual fidelity plus gameplay mechanics don't make or break a game is the content within the game that make or break say game. This year 2014 a lot of new ips that bring new ideas, gameplay mechanics, and visuals hence content will bring gamers back to enjoy gaming again.

My point is that Alien Isolation is a mainstream horror game but it may end up like Aliens Colonial Marines. If you want survival horror game to come to consoles "Evil Within" is the answer a true mainstream survival horror game which it may break or make survival horror out of indie into mainstream again. I respect your opinion but mainstream game publishers are in it for the money.

Viva PC indeed the freedom from building your PC to making mods and turning say mods into commercial games. Exclusive genres only on PC like rts, mmo, moba s, survival horror, simulation, etc. Games for everyone truly a universal platform.

The Forest is on my top list finally a true survival game. Build your house log by log, hunt animals, drink water oh and deal with cannibals. But the game I am dying to play is definitely without a doubt Among The Sleep. Asylum if it ever gets released.

It already had a $50.00 price drop originally the wii u deluxe cost $350.00 plus tax. They pretty much got rid of the cheaper version replaced by the deluxe version it didn't work. Now I agree about the rest you said

Is true telltale studios wasn't a big name back in the day mainly due it ruined both Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the dragon. Many of telltale games were kind of me except for escape from Monkey Island or Sam and Max. But after the daring no holds barred dramatic depressing "The Walking Dead" season one and a strong first episode for the wolf among us this developer has truly become a premier game developer.

Is mismanagement that is the problem. Look at the forest a team made of one or two people yet the game is huge, with visuals that rival mainstream gaming. Look at Hawken a team of 12 people or less the game looks amazing. Even Routine, Outlast, hell throw the amnesia franchise along with Arma 3 small development teams of 12 people or less that demonstrate amazing visual tour de force games. I enjoy indie games a lot some for nostalgic reasons like Dust an Elysian Tail an action rpg like the console games of old.
