I concur with able to publish/promote games from indie gogo or kickstarter working with companies like Valve by choosing the games worthy on being on Steam via green light. I really don't see the need for consoles anymore
I highly agree Microsoft brought patches/updates along with DLC to console gaming along with making pay to play online successful and proving faulty consoles are ok. If Microsoft leaves the gaming industry and gets replaced by CD Project or Valve then I will open a bottle of champagne celebrate with a bunch of hot chicks hell yeah
Other companies would replace Nintendo and Microsoft hopefully open platform type of companies giving Sony a run for its money. Sega tanked got replaced by Microsoft, Microsoft tanked gets replaced by CD project yay no worries.
Who cares if Microsoft falls or Sony falls other companies might gladly replace them. Even better no more corporate mentality back to small creative companies with gamers publishing and promoting their games working with open source type of gaming companies like Valve.
blah blah blah blah We gamers should no longer rely on corporations to offer us a gaming experience. Let gamers publish their own games and promote their own games. Ask yourselfs what have these three corporations done for us gamers nothing absolutely nothing but fees like pay to play online, re-buy our last generation library, limit our gaming experience as much as possible. Ten years it took these corporations to deliver 1080p gaming and still struggling to get 1080p 60 frames per sec...
The Forest
Distance
Among the Sleep
Routine
Darkwood
Day Z
Stomping Lands
Are some unique games coming out along with No Man's Sky.
PC gaming is starting to get into 4K resolution 1080p 60 frames per second has been the standard for PC gaming since 2005. Deep complex, beautiful games are coming to PC like the forest, day z, and right now you can play Rust. It will be a decade or so for console gaming to get 4K resolution.

What do you mean he is a hippie
Gone Home is a good game and is taking gaming in the right direction. Piecing the story piece by piece was awesome sadly it needed to be more interactive like be able to play those super Nintendo games, read books, drink wine and be able to take out your frustrations when you find out something you didn't like about a family member like breaking dishes, or setting things on fire. Just to elevate and make the experience more enjoyable.
I concur I just wished it was more interactive by opening every single box, drinking, breaking plates, glasses as a way to express my feelings in the game world by finding out the dirty secrets of my family. What my dad is a failure as writer well excuse me drinks wine throws the books in frustration. That would of elevated the experience even more.
Basically you are putting the story piece by piece for me it was enjoyable and a very relaxing experience. Not every game needs shooting but is not as impactful as say "To The Moon" as far as story is concerned..... Still a good game buy it on sale and way better than call of duty that glorifies war.
This article along with the N4G comment section shows nostalgia of Nintendo' s greatness when the reality is the wii u is the next dreamcast. I fully understand that Nintendo saved the console gaming industry and made it the defacto of choice for gaming, brought amazing gaming experiences both exclusive and third-party games along with bringing a new audience to console gaming. Finally ending your parents to stop playing video games or video games are a waste of time by finally them...
I guess everyone is in nostalgia mode when it comes to Nintendo. Look Nintendo was one of the greatest video game companies. They brought amazing games like Metroid, Zelda, Mario, etc. They used to have third-party support but is over for Nintendo. The Nintendo of today is clueless no innovation at all, an online gaming service that is like PSN network circa 2006, jump through hoops and loops to access your wii library. No new ips from Nintendo. Nintendo is pretty much done and th...
For real shoot I am going to buy it.
I am more surprised "to the moon" didn't make the list. One of the best romantic games out there and the lives of John and River showed a true love relationship never seen in gaming
Five years from now Steam Machines along with a Sword Art Online VR functionality will be the next big thing in gaming. Oculus Rift will finally show us what VR is all about, the Steam Machines will bring PC gaming to the living room. .....
The console gaming market but the prices is what will keep Steam Machines from overtaking consoles; having multiple Steam Machines is not bad but it may get confusing. 5 years from now it will be a different story
There shouldn't be any microtransanctions in $60.00 plus tax games period. It makes both developers/publishers lazy and greedy. I have no qualms with free to play games due to the fact the game is free the online is free. If I as a consumer see that the game can only be advanced via microtransanctions or the grinding is monotonous then I as a consumer can walk away from say game without paying a dime. In contrast if the same situation were to arise from $60.00 plus tax games I would ...
Hmmm I wonder if Sony or Microsoft approve any of these games and if so on what conditions and terms will say game developers be bind too. A console game must be approved by Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo in order to be sold to the console gamer if the game is not approved by the console manufacturer then it won't make it to console regardless if console gamers want it.
