I am not a fan of Early Access, I wish I could pay as little as a dollar. I know it sounds stingy but hey is a beta/alpha of say game. My investment may be low but if the game goes belly up I only lose a dollar. But to pay $30.00 or more for an early access game ummm is a personal huge risk for me.
I agree but it will start slow but 5 years from now VR like cloud gaming will become the norm. Sadly 5 years from now consoles will become obsolete.
I doubt consoles will be able to deliver virtual reality. VR requires a powerful system, that is always up to date. Second you must be talking about Microsoft illumini room which has pretty much fizzle out. There's three major drawbacks to this console generation one no backwards compatibility, two pay to play online, three high prices for games. Is the AMD Gaming generation meaning you pretty much can get an AMD Steam machine at a price of the xbox one. More powerful , open, ...
I concur
The oculus rift is around $300.00.
I am thinking more in the lines of Sword Art Online is an anime based on virtual reality. Basically is a head helmet you wear on your head it makes you tap all over your body to calibrate the helmet. It makes you believe you are inside this virtual world but your body is just laying down on the bed. If this virtual reality does end up like the anime in real life then man is going to be awesome.
Damn picture I click on it and I got a crappy article about the lack of booth babes means a more professional booth, get more traffic and other nonsense. If the guy/girl of the company wants to use booth babes to advertise their product during a convention or event who the hell cares.
How is it problematic?
No their biggest mistake was relying on Mario alone during the holiday season. If Mario kart 8, Xenoblade, Bayoneta 2 and Smash brothers had released during the holiday season. The wii u would of been in a better position. A strong marketing campaign would of help along with the pro controller as opposed to the utterly useless gamepad wannabe tablet. If it had cost $200.00, exclusive after exclusive title, online gaming network on par to STEAM free online gaming, ease of use of back...
A steam machine from Nintendo sounds like a great idea. Imagine playing the entire Nintendo Library via Linux great idea. Nintendo just focusing on mobile gaming is another great option or pretty much get new staff and CEO .
That could be a possibility not 100 percent certain.
I don't know Alienware could still surprise us, sheesh we gave Microsoft the benefit of the doubt why not Alienware.
I will believe it when I see it. Since thus far all intel Core and Nvidia gtx based Steam machines cost $700.00 or more.
What was special in the old days of PC gaming. I remember lots of patching and updating manually. Those bloody CD keys and my game not able to run at all yaay
True, the laptop I have could barely run Netflix or pirate films. When it came to gaming indies fine and dandy, mainstream games like tomb raider forget about it
Is going to take a while for developers to bring mainstream games like Skyrym to Linux
Honestly I am slightly disappointed in that there's too many Steam machines and pretty much any Steam Machine with an Intel Processor and NVIDIA gtx graphics card will end up paying $700.00 - $1,000.00 or more. I understood it was to bring console gamers into PC gaming but not like this. 5-10 years from now the Steam Machines may become the norm and more refined which is why I don't see Steam Machines failing it may end up replacing consoles but not now that is for sure probably fro...
I like the blog
The author is talking about all these sensitive people that oppress game developers for having same sex relationships, killing non-white people, ultra violence, nudity, female characters with hardly any clothing, muscular men, etc inside the games. In contrast when it comes to film, tv shows, and music these same people are nowhere to be found that depict the subject they are complaining about. Is a real issue that needs to be solved and game developers should be allowed to expr...
It's the beginning of virtual reality, first getting the view right meaning immersing the gamer into the world by having the game world in front of you and behind you making you believe you are inside the game world. Then in a few years from now implementing kinect like motions or the ability to have gameplay that is done via your mind or first start with the kinect like motions. Finally getting the smell, taste, and feel. Is all in baby steps.
