Selling say remakes for $60.00 plus tax is gouging on consumers. This is the primary reason why backwards compatibility was axed to resell the games you currently own at the price of new games. Selling these remakes at $30.00 or less even better included backwards compatibility would of been a better option. That's what is truly missing with today's console games options. Having the option of backwards compatibility and buying a remake on PS4 benefits both consumers and publisher...
I say stick to PC and 3DS I mean pay to play online, no backwards compatibility, unable to play your own music unless you pay for Music unlimited service for the PS4. The wii u unless you are a diehard Nintendo fan go for it.
Well for Facebook acquiring the Oculus Rift it means people talking with other people in a virtual world. To see each other in person and at their home virtually, for that friend or family member walking you virtually on their next vacation, etc. As far as gaming is concerned Facebook offers the communication tools for online gaming. Unfortunately it could mean Oculus Rift ending up as an ad box plus Facebook lacks the expertise and know how when it comes to gaming

hmmm lots of promise and potential as a stand alone device I see it succeeding. Hell Sony can release this virtual headset as opposed to a fifth Playstation. But is it better than oculus rift most likely not with the oculus offering 1080p on each eye 60 frames per second. Second the PS4 is ecstatic meaning gamers won't see it evolve like the rift.......

I want this game to be different from all open world games. If it was incorporates splinter cell type mechanics, deux ex hacking capabilities, with the freedom of GTA that is cool. But what this game should truly bring is NPC with their own agenda meaning reading the newspaper, holding hands, eating drinking, etc.
That's because there is no digital compression on consoles. The games are priced at the same price as retail on consoles to keep department stores selling games. The PC has already solved the issues the consoles are facing right now with digital distribution. I have 20-30 games installed on a 500gb hard drive plus 4 yes 4 1080p movies on it as well. Thanks to digital compression number two downloading games on PC are fairly quickly and you can watch a movie while it downloads.
I agree but these consoles lack digital compression. On PC you can compress your digital movies to save space. The other question lies will Playstation Now allow gamers to store their games, movies, music to the cloud. That's another solution Microsoft can bring the ability to store your digital data on the cloud.

No backwards compatibility would of been better and don't give that crap of it would of increase the cost of the console (the PS3 hike was due to multimedia flash drive, piano black finish, blu-tooth technology, the cell processor) or their PHD doctorate engineers could not figure out how to implement backwards compatibility when it was feasible for both PS2 and fat PS3.
