From a hardware perspective you are correct ;however, Sony does make entertainment software shocking I know. What I mean is that Sony makes movies like Spider-Man movie series, tv shows like Breaking Bad. Also Sony owns Columbia/Tristar. So from a hardware perspective Sony may only be doing well with the PS4 ;however, it's their films, tv shows that is keeping Sony afloat. Sony owns Crackle which is doing descent or bad compared to other music labels.

That's the thing with these new consoles the gamer needs to wait for the console manufacturer to flesh out their system. But I mean dlna support, mp3 player support should of been standard that is not new the PS3 had both of these features. Now both Sony and Microsoft should of have equipped their systems with backwards compatibility damn it.

The game has not been released yet to be able to judge it. It could go either way on one hand an improvement over dead Island or a rotten zombie game.

Enola wasn't mentioned or dream house 1313. But besides that "The Forest" and "Among the Sleep" are the two major games looking forward to.

While I agree with you but it kills complexity and depth to the game

I love indies, I even kickstarter Among The Sleep, Consortium, Distance, and a Japanese visual novel. I can't wait for Distance an arcade racer with track editor, mini games like racing soccer game, Tron like environment, etc. Among the Sleep a survival horror game from the mind, and view of a 2 year old kid.... The creativity depth, and replay ability of indie games cannot be matched by mainstream gaming too focused of profit, revenue, and new ways of squeezing every last ...

Sadly most mainstream games are like Michael Bay films lots of special effects, pretty visuals, etc. but lack substance, depth, creativity, and replay ability.

I am eagerly waiting for this game, I know I have mentioned it several times now on n4g. But man I hope that it lives up to its potential and worth the investment I made. I am one of the gamers that back up this game.

So basically we should let corporations run over us it makes perfect sense

Now you see the true purpose of not having backwards compatibility.

Ok how about options:

For those that don't own The Last of Us able to pay $40.00 for the remastered edition. $30.00 via digital format.

$60.00 plus tax whether own or not owned for the remastered edi...

You forgot survival horror fans
Old timers playing the hundreds of retro indie games or emulators
True Hardcore gamers playing games that required a brain like Eve Online first game to appear on a college economics textbook (Economics Today 17th edition Macro view), Tropico franchise, Total War, etc.

PC gaming became important due to console manufacturers decided to make restricted cheap gaming computers. For example like PC gamers must sign into an account. Like PC gamers must install the game onto a hard drive despite being in physical format, must update and patch games. Like PC gaming console games are no longer guarantee to work out of the box such as Socom Confrontation, Battlefield 4, Titan Fall, Gears of War 2, PS3 Skyrym, etc. Also like the Windows/Mac/Linux the game OS ...

Just a couple of Michael Bay production games in contrast the PC is getting exclusively :

The Long Dark-survive the elements
The Forest - survive the elements and cannibalism plus build your home
Proven Lands - survive an alien planet
Distance - arcade racer using Tron as its inspiration with track editor
Among the Sleep - experience a nightmare from the mind of a two year old kid

The Stomping Land-open world dinosaur s...

I don't know will console gamers be able to put up with dehydration, hunger, freezing to death, miles upon miles of land with no objectives, etc. oh using a compass no map. Nope I see survival suited more for PC gaming just look at "The Forest" must sleep, eat, and drink. Build a home cut wood, gather materials to make own weapons no map. Nope definitely not coming to consoles.

I really don't see mainstream game developers bring survival horror oh well another genre that is only made by indie game developers like 2.5D games. Among the Sleep will change survival horror gaming forever, then there is the long dark about surviving the elements, the forest an open survival horror game, Enola a mind twisting survival horror game.

Pay attention and look up "The Long Dark" is everything you have described right now. Sadly is exclusive to PC

Umm Nintendo can't afford to alienate from game journalism, that's one of the major reasons why xbox 360 was successful it had lots of support from gaming journalism that it changed the views of most gamers to accept Microsoft policies. E3 is televised, and on radio stations what about the people who don't use the Internet. Those are the people Nintendo is losing.

This is a bad strategy for Nintendo, not having a press conference at E3 they lose the audience that watches E3 via Spike Tv, G4, etc. It also loses the audience that is on the fence whether to buy a console or not along with people that don't use youtube. E3 is televised, radio, etc. Nintendo needs to expand its customers not create limitations. Best Buy is good but it needs to bring those wii u demos of upcoming games not just to Best Buy but to Walmart, Gamestop, Target, ...
