"only" 720p?
Bungie's previous 360 efforts have sub-720p. If this manages to be native 720p then that will be major advancement for the 360 since it will manage to match the basic PS3 standard.
Bungie may just be the company to do that particularly if they're genuinely re-writing the engine.
From this screenshot though - well no one can really say anything...

Well RPGs won't shift many 360s no matter how good it is - so this is just money in the bank for EA but not so much for MS. As a result they may as well let it go multi-console.
After all, Dragon Age & ME2 are basically re-skinned versions of each other - I'd imagine you can just load the data files into the PS3 build et voila - PS3 ME2.
However, given that Bioware's RPGs while good, are basically very formulaic (ME1 was simply KOTOR/JE blah blah with a different...
The PC has plenty of staggeringly good games, but the 360 has been short of any *really* good games for a while.
ME2 - you're at Bat - don't let the 360 down!

A lot of people, just regular people, take the time to analyse Sony's performance - they don't bother so much with MS.
I guess people just don't have that feeling of being part of something in the 360 "community" (which is a very loose way of describing the assorted, homophobes, racists and red necks prevalent on it) - it's just the next tea bag you can give.
Playstation brand inspires more devotion and interest it seems.

Well if you think that if it weren't for ME2 there'd be a midnight launch just for MAG, then I think you're delusional.
Yes there may be a lot of preorders - I've got mine pre-ordered! However, I also know there is no way anyone is doing midnight openings just for MAG right now.

They're open for ME2 :/
I can make it much easier for everyone...
You know you're a gamer when you have a gaming PC.
Anything else is casual gaming by comparison lol.

This will be a good (possibly even the greatest, but I'm not convinced on that yet) year for 360.
The problem for MS is, what comes next? Given that after a good 2008, 2009 was poor by their standards, if 2010 is very good, then presumably 2011 is going to be worse than 09.
Without many first party studios (and the ones they've got are hardly great), they're going to be at the mercy of 3rd parties...
I just hope they can hold it together otherwise this g...
about how 256 is just chaos.
I guess they haven't played MAG because the whole thing is, MAG is the first game I've played where it works and isn't chaos - that's what makes it special.
I find it somewhat surprising that Zipper has pulled this off when their background is SOCOM - a smaller scale tactical game, while the likes of IW/Activision, DICE even Bungie haven't managed it and have gradually reduced their multiplayer efforts to smaller and smaller evironments. ...
Doesn't do HD afaik.
Here's some comparison shots of PacMan and Space Invaders - you choose the winner!
What difference does it make? 2 different games separated by different hardware as well. All this shows is that gaming sites are so desperate for hits they'll invent flame articles from the thinnest of premises.
Having said that, I've already played Alone in the Dark so I'm only really planning on Heavy Rain and I'll see whether AW is worth it after it's been out a while.
...
But none of those storage solutions you're jerking off over exist in a console today - hell they're barely even available for home PCs.
A disk swap isn't a problem - well 'cept for the hardware issues in 360.
Even so, MS should either make much bigger disks and much cheaper or, if they really want their console to last for a few more years, provide some kind of cheap add-on drive, Blu-ray or whatever other circle jerk tech you prefer, I don't care.

It's exactly what Sony has done with Eyepet and PSEye.

This article is the usual poorly researched rubbish. It basically says - "Hey look.... Steam .... you can download games with names I remember from Steam! WOW!!!"
A quick internet search would've shown him that the Adventure game genre is actually rather well supported with many professional games being released each year by indie developers, not to mention the homebrew games that are also released.
Serious space combat games are a bit more difficult to fin...
Just as well or there would have been some very disappointed people around.
At least now there's still a shot at GOTY for Reach...

Planetside is a) most akin to an MMO given it's subscription model etc and
most importantly
b) So laggy it failed in the main point of it, which was to provide an immersive FPS for hundreds of players.
So, sorry, Planetside is not up to the mark - and it's a Sony game, strangely enough.
Tribes - bah, I never saw anything like 256 people in it. Either way, that game was laggy as hell too.
The problem is you're trying to compare MMO styl...
Such as? - I'm struggling to think of any serious efforts - just mods that were crappy.
Wow - can't believe there are people who come to a site called New 4 GAMERS but can't tell the difference between an mmo and an FPS.
lolz
What I'd like them to do is release a completed home entertainment product, rather than spend time implementing features like this that are of limited to use to most consumers.
Sinceyou ask me, I'd liked to have seen a GT5 released which simply was GT4 ported to a PS3 engine, maybe with a solid online thrown in - essentially what GT5P was, but a solid full version; no Nascar, no head tracking, no damage etc etc.
That would have given everyone a "proper" GT ...
This stuff is a bit old now - it had all been done back before Christmas in the beta that was happening then.
Still, this is a game with lots of possibilities and even manages to make the racing fun.
Should be good!
