In the end it IS an expansion pack that doesn't need the other game, much like RDR's Undead Nightmare.
I am suprised an article titled like this doesn't go into the HD dilemma. Current tech of "light" guns require old school TVs with the color bars to function, and any other controls are more gesticulation than aiming, such as Wii or Move. They can't tell how big your TV is. There needs to be a better calibration, like I saw on Twilight Princess, which at least recommended the best distance to be from your TV for aiming to work.
I think they seem a bit full of themselves as well. Having a "convention" on this is akin to a Star Trek convention, except there is a LOT more lore to that, worthy of getting a full on convention rather than mixing it with a scifi con. Just seems like a publicity stunt.
I actually wrote a whole piece on HDTVs with the tiny font issue a while back, and I had learned this prior. I was wondering just how bad I was at Duck Hunt, until I put the gun right against the screen, and still nothing.
I actually got frustrated when I upgraded phones, I wasn't allowed to transfer things, because it was past 90 days from purchase! "Sorry, you have to buy your game again". Yeah. I do NOT look forward to the digital age.
It is amazing how media in general can really hit a nerve with life issues. I love that this one got rereleased with a better translation now so I can "get" it more than back then when I played it.
I am sure something can happen, they also discuss making the Fun Labs have some function that can translate facial expressions to your avatars.
True, and I suppose that's a bonus for PS3 owners, but alas, I only have Xbox at the moment. I suppose I can link those in on my PSP tho, so all would be good. Except for 4, that is. :(
That is absolutely true. I figure it when I look at the system specs, let alone it's the first gen of this tech. I know it has been a dream since the start of Kinect, and I seriously doubt Microsoft is NOT working on it, whether it be a pipe dream for preliminaries on this system, or the full fledged optimum on the next generation.
Personally, I have a beef with "ultimate" or such "collections" that don't have them all, or do things out of order. I'm anal like that.
Like when the James Bond movies came out on DVD in packs, they just seemed to throw six random Bond films from through the year into one box.

Regardless, I see faith base in a lot of gaming stories. You can get that in a lot of good vs. evil where the good wins. And since you're gaming, most of the time good does win. Albeit violently.
Only game I was frustrated/surprised at recently was Castlevania. Ended completely different than what I thought opening the box.
I actually need to play that again. Finally got a better TV than my old one, maybe I can read the fonts now.
Co-author here. Overall, I was excited to see a prequel storyline. If this game goes over well enough, it would be foolish not to do a "sequel" or DLC on what happens within the movie in a few months.
I know he was rude and crude in his originals, and that's what made him special. I am curious what they will do with the new one, as everyone is rude and crude now. How far will they go....and what is too far?
I know this game may appeal to some out there. Guess this is why there are different genres. I know a few GoozerNation people who really looked forward to this game. I'm curious if any of them have played and if they see themselves reviewing it for a counterpoint.
Definitely find someone you know to multi with. That was my one bad experience. Maybe one day..
I haven't MK'ed since back in the days of MK3....looks awesome! Too bad I can only get one game a month at most. Portal caught me.
The Lego games are fascinatingly fun for the young crowd, and tolerable to play for us older people with them. I didn't even know this existed, and now wish I lived closer. Neat diversion from the regular topics.
Very good points all around. I think the option is the best way to go, but also the most invasive on the developer's time.
I don't quite feel like it is the old xbox controller setup, though, because the systems have the option of using composite. It would be like when your old PS1 controller fit in your PS2 slot, yet was uncompatible. If the Xbox had come only HDMI, I would have no room to argue. And again, I feel for the poor individuals who love to game, but are...
