Make a Collector's Edition, with the cost of the game baked into the price. Have a recessed hole the size of a game box in the front. Scan for retail sale, ask if want physical or digital. Digital? Print the receipt. Physical? Pop the sealed game into the box hole. Would allow use of the Trinket Box with any platform, cutting down on product shelf space as well.
Just remember......no matter how much you push the envelope, it'll always be stationary.
.....................sorry, I had to. #DadJoke
Yep.
4TB Internal drive, everything ready to go in an instant or less: $1000.
4TB external good old-fashioned non-SSD drive, store stuff on it and be patient to move it over when you want to play: $100.
Patience literally pays off in this instance.
Hmm. This is interesting given that Limited Run has already had an offer on Among Us. My son ordered it (has a physical "emergency meeting" button, and PC download codes). Is there a physical release of Among Us coming to Switch and other consoles then? I see a case, but not a cartridge.
Sucks too, as he'd probably take the beanie/pen/plush/etc goodies over the Limited Run stuff.
I approve and understand this logic, but there's a key issue here: that the company can't bypass the scalpers. I'm reading quotes online that people are wanting to play Ratchet and Clank, coming out soon, but they can't because they can't physically access a PS5. They can buy the disc immediately but not the system.
It's a terrible cycle and not fun right now. But. If a game doesn't sell well in the first weeks, it stops selling well. Discounts ...
Are they claiming that PS4 games on PS5 via an external drive is a new feature? I've been doing that ever since I unboxed mine.
I think a new dock is genius. Most of the rumored upgrades allow 4K on TV and whatnot, splintering the fanbase is not a good concept. Yes, a new screen would be pretty on handheld, but it'd be nice to have a stopgap in the middle. Affordable for those who want to upgrade, missable for those who don't. And imagine if say the new dock has on-board memory? It could store the new 4K pieces of old games to save room on the system, or simply store games you don't need on the go.
To whom it may concern:
I do have a problem. I get mocked about it all the time but I don't care.
Please create these in woodgrain. Mahogany preferably.
I tend to be a rather specific "left hand palm open extended arm at a 45 degree angle, right hand frantically mashing x, mouth agape, with random utterances sounding similar to "what the how the i just i already where did huh" emanating from my mouth.
I wonder how it'll go though between disc drive and non-disc drive editions. That'd mean a second set depending on which console you got, or the disc drive owners are stuck only replacing one side.
Oh, doubtful. They'll still release one with the black part in a different color.
Well, y'see, it's complicated. You get to the point in the Gold Saucer where you go on a date. You have the three options: Aerith, Tifa, or Barret. Who you choose there causes a branching storyline and therefore different editions of the next game, much like Pokemon releases. Barret's route will be done in the following sequel, whilst Tifa will require two more games and several add-on expansion packs. Aerith's will have another branching path if you purchase the physical port...
Pitfall! Maybe PAC-Man. ;)
LOL—the days when the end was a Hi-Score.
Probably first game with an ending was Mario 2.
*himself. Lol.
The beta has been around for a while, but the X1 store says 3/27/19 and the PS store says 3/30.
Twisted Metal 2.
Mine is Twisted Metal 2. Improved on the original in so many ways but sadly has yet to be topped again for me.
Don’t worry everyone, Microsoft has plans to release a new add on: the External Disc Drive! For gamers who live the digital lifestyle who wish to taste test the idea of physical media. Only $79.99!
I live in a small town where my external hard drive crashed in February and I’m still downloading all my old stuff. Spider-Man took a week to get back on my drive. Voluntarily deleting any game I feel like ever playing again is ludicrous.
Something like this could exist, but it'd have to be pretty straightforward. Today's "Big Thing" is open-world games, and that regularly kills narrative and creates "cutscene dissonance". Imagine a modern Die Hard movie, hitting those points. Instead of 20 different guns, you'd have different movesets. There'd be an air vent level, vaulting between floors with a grip meter or staying quiet whilst an enemy below shoots the vents. Or maybe a rooftop level, wi...
