Because DD is working so horribly for the iphone, blackberry and droid based phones. I will absolutly shocked if a new psp2 is designed and it has a physical medium. PSPgo failed because it was 250$ and had now way to tranfer already purchased games.

You could throw 5 million janitors at a problem, but I doubt they will solve it faster than one electricical/computer engineer when it comes to computer hardware. Janitors and software engineers almost have the same real world skill set actually. Actually, at least janitors know how to clean.
Can't you deactivate your account on a PS3? That is unless of course your ps3 ylod. But in other instances, if the ps3 is active you can deactivate it yourself correct?

Some of these comments make me think cutting off the hands of people that steal is a justified punishment. When you steal a game you are not stealing a blu ray disk or a file. You are stealing other people's hard work and creativity. You are also reducing people's drive to work hard and be creative. Thankfully most people are decent and honest. If you look at many of those devices that failed they have one thing in common. THey tried to take to many steps foward at once. For example the lynx. Sure it was a backlit color lcd screen. But, the low power circuitry didn't exist yet to power it so it failed.

What if the allowed you to download the game for free, but paid a 5$ monthly fee to play it. It would come out to 60$ a year.
While I hate the idea of paying for FPS I am not blind to the economic challenges of maintaining an online community. With online games you have to have a dedicated support team which fixes issues with the game and keeps the servers up and running. As these games get more complex the cost for support goes up as well.

32Ghz is not possible on today's silicon. A new technology will have to come about, like optical transistors or something like that. Clock speeds have remained relativly stable for the last 3 to 5 years at around 3.2 Ghz. While clock speeds have stayed realtivly stable, the number of cores on a chip keep going up. What I think is more likely for the ps4 is a 16 to 32 core processor as opposed to a 32Ghz processor.

Honestly, the reason for the difference is advertising. Move has not been advertised very well. I have 3 friends with ps3 that didn't even know it was being made. Once I showed them what it was and what it could do all 3 of them have decided to go pre order it. This is a marathon not a sprint. Its not that I hate the idea of Kinect. Its just that its technology that isn't ready for prime time. I have no doubt that full body tracking is technology that will be used in the future. But if tehcnology is too bleeding edge, like this is, you are more likely to be frustrated than enjoy it. You also have the problem of developers just no knowing how to use this stuff for gaming.

I think it is more likely we are either hit by an asteriod or destroy ourselves with a black hole created by the LHC before "mind control" happens. We know very little about how the brain works right now. I don't see that changing that much in 25 years. But you never know.
