15:40 That taxi driver actor was playing the hero of the game in the early build! He must have been pretty disappointed when the role was recast for Shawn Ashmore.
On a serious note, I'd do anything to see what the world is like 782 years into the future.
Most probably some sort of extraterrerstrial life would have been discovered, robots sent to foreign star systems, aging cured, some sort of AI running the world while people concentrate on making art...
OR
Idiocracy
I'm not trying to troll here but I actually think he might be right. We know that there are 5 acts of game and 4 episodes of live action in the package. The first game act is about 1 hour long and if the rest acts are about equal in length, it seems to be a relatively short game.
You can also check my posting history and see that I've been very positive about Quantum Break. It's a really interesting project but the length of the experience has me a bit worried. <...
If you check the original "leak" at Reddit, you'll realise it's obviously a fake.
I don't think he had that agenda. He even said that he likes Nintendo.
What's sure is that he got free advertisement for his company and also taught news readers and publications a valuable lesson in critical thinking and checking sources.
People are entitled to think he's a sly scoundrel but he's obviously not an idiot or stupid person.
I would say that it could be as high as 99.6%.
Very good skills.
I think this kind of trolling is actually pretty fun. I used to photoshop multiple "leaked" images of Snoke before Star Wars ep 7 came out and there were always people being fooled.
I wish I had those kind of 3D modelling and fabbing skills.
If this is a powerful smartphone / handheld gaming device, it will sell truckloads of units all around the world.
If it's just a controller for a home console, I'm really shocked.
I tend to agree.
I'm still not sure what exactly it is though. If it doubles as a smartphone, then gamers might pick it up as their phone/handheld.
If it's just a controller for a home console, it doesn't seem a very good idea at all.
Interesting to have different composer for the live action stuff.
The music in the gaming portions is composed by a person named Petri Alanko who also did music for Alan Wake. You can preview the game soundtrack here: https://soundcloud.com/micr...
I don't actually even own Xbox One (at least not yet). I'm just a Remedy fan from Remedy's home country who likes their Max payne games.
EDIT: the disagrees on my previous comment are confusing as I was simply repeating what the developers at Remedy are telling.
Here's the exact quote from the news: "Quantum Break’s 1080p output is a temporal reconstruction from four previous 720p 4xMSAA frames"
It's not standard 720p though. It has an 1080p output where the pixels in a given frame are a temporal reconstruction from 4 different 720p frames.
Check out the screenshots below. Looks much better than standard 720p.
Here are some 1920x1080 screenshots from the game to show how it looks on a full HD screen:

The guy at Digital Foundry is frustrated because he thinks people don't understand what he meant to communicate.
Quotes from his Twitter account:
"It's rather frustrating. I don't think people fully understand the resolution issue (it's not "just" 720p - it's more complex)"
"Nope, it's something different entirely. I've never seen anything quite like it. It works pretty well, actually."...
I think Naughty Dog is the best in the industry to create richly detailed and unique environments in exotic locations and crafting unforgettable action sequences around them.
A lot of action games go for a bleak, dystopian environments (which are often fine) so it's refreshing to have the Uncharted series with the James Bond-esque beautiful escapistic locations.
Alan Wake looked great for an Xbox 360 game but it's not nearly as good looking as QB. QB is a significant leap in many aspects like facial animation, distortion effects, visual effects like global illumination and gloss, character animation...
Pretty much all games have review embargoes, including critically succesful ones like the Uncharted games.
QB was really expensive to make (budget 80+ mil), partly due to the live action portion which sports a cast of A-list actors. It's of course a calculated risk as MS hopes that the familiar faces will lure in lots of film/TV audience.
I think Jim's review was first and it was 8.5/10:
