Maybe 2025 Xbox... maybe 2025.
If it’s 4K AI upscaled to the eye, does the behind the scenes resolution really matter? DF already established the games they have played look better than the 4K quality modes we have now.
Imagine nitpicking a box that's $699 playing one of the most demanding games out with full ray tracing, highest graphical settings at 30fps? You guys are hysterical on this site writing this flub then sitting down and playing your 30fps versions that look half as good. *shrug*. The Pro is playing all current fidelity mode console games at 60fps. They are adding MORE graphic intensive features on top of the standard console fidelity mode and it's still 30fps. Seems like a win. This ...
This was straight up BAD.
Elder Scrolls 6 is coming in 2025?
This looks insanely good
yes valid but if there are multiple remasters it still cannot total more than 2 minutes lol
I have no clue what will come of this. I just pray that in 30 minutes, the remaster trailers are 2 minutes total.
The technical point of resolution is totally moot with AI upscaling though. The point is having a 4K like image without actually being native 4K, thus tricking your eyes into seeing a native 4K image which in turn allows for higher framerates at a lower technical resolution.
"Don't be a jerk. You know as good as anyone that this Pro is not a good deal... not yet. Sony has failed to showcase the value. When they do... things can change."
You vote with your wallet. The PS5 Pro is not a required purchase.....even if it was $500, it is still a luxury item that is not required as an upgrade. This is a choice machine....I really don't know how else to explain it. Similarly, people have the choice to purchase an inferior Series S on...
"Not entirely. I mean you’re still paying pretty much the cost of buying a PS five regular after trading in your base model in order to get the pro it’s an absurd price point. Lol"
Or I can pay $165 for 2 hours of hitting golf balls at TopGolf vs $20 at the local driving range. This is called choice. Choices never hurt anyone. Your base PS5 will be just fine, only your ego will be disappointed.
yes because in 3 years your $2000+ gaming PC GPU will be mediocre at best and require another $1000 upgrade. Gaming performance on PCs for new titles degrades so much faster than on consoles. This is a point PC enthusiasts or make-pretend enthusiasts fail to bring up. The lifespan of a Gaming PC is so much shorter than a console.
The downvotes are ridiculous.
People thinking consoles will be $399 forever are funnier. Long gone are the days of console gamers accepting inferiority to PC gaming experiences. Now that the flood gates have opened and consoles are streamlining hardware to work more effortlessly with PC's, expectations have risen from the gaming community. We literally have console gamers that hinge on digital foundry now and pixel compare, reflection compare, draw distance compare, frame rate compare. Consoles at $400 are gone, un...
I was unaware the PS5 needs a stand.
$400 after ps5 trade-in. I’m fine with this.
New GPU, 2TB drive, faster RAM, AI upscaling, improved ray tracing, wifi 7, not having to pick between performance and 30fps fidelity modes, smaller than my OG PS5. GTA6 here I come.
If financially you aren’t in the place for this I get it, but it’s an enhanced experience nonetheless for some of us and a hell of a lot more justifiable than the $600 series x up for pre-order.
"That's a limited edition... the regular 1tb X is still $499, and it too comes with the disc drive and stand just like the 2tb model."
Again.....the 2TB model (the cheaper ones do not have 2TB) is $100 cheaper than the PS5 Pro. It is the closest match to the PS5 Pro and is an inferior unit....for only $100 less.
They just announced the current xbox with a 2TB drive for $600.....
As have I.
